[player_tooltip player_id='883552' first='Braylyn' last='Birmingham'] of Norwalk High School is prepped for a big Winter ahead for her Sophomore season and I'm sure that she is going to have more collegiate programs interested in her as the year goes on. Birmingham, a 5'11 CG, is a playmaker. Someone that is a natural at this game of Basketball. She moves really well for a guard with better than average height and that makes her a mismatch for most opponents that come in her way. Birmingham currently holds a D1 offer or two but that list should start to stack up as she continues to get older.

Everyone in the state out of the DSM area is sayin that [player_tooltip player_id='880913' first='Kelli' last='Kalb'] is the state's next best thing out of this 2028 Class but I think we need to slow our roll and let things play out a little bit more. Kalb holds the second most D1 offers out of this 2028 Class because of her mixture of shooting ability and her natural length. She stepped up last season in the 5A State Title game and made an instant impact with her scoring ability. She built off of that by having a memorable AAU season with her AIA EYBL program and now she is ready for her Sophomore season with the Dragons. If Kalb continues to steadily progress as she gets older, the interest will continue to follow. Right now we have Kalb as the #3 prospect out of this 2028 Class but I'm sure that could change before you know it if she plays her cards right this Winter.

One of the best 2028 defenders that the state of Iowa has to offer is [player_tooltip player_id='957840' first='Savanna' last='Wright'] of Mount Vernon High School. Wright competes as PG #1 and she played with an aggressive edge. She is calculated in whatever she is trying to accomplish on the court, always seeming to be in the right place at the right time by chance. Wright is just a solid overall player. She competes hard on both sides of the floor, she doesn't make mistakes often, and she is a born leader by definition. She will do whatever is asked of her from a coach and that just speaks to her communication skills/discipline. This Winter will be a test for Mount Vernon. They lose their monster Center to graduation from last season so how they adapt to that will be crucial to their success this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='920716' first='Bentley' last='Dill'] has made a big jump from the first time she stepped onto the Varsity floor until now. This might only be one year's time but that makes it even more impressive. Dill is growing, her shooting stroke is still top notch like it was last Winter, and she is starting to expand on her game little by little as she gets older. Kennedy is going to need Dill to really step up this Winter to be their main producer if they want to see a lot of success. Others will need to follow suit and step up also but it all starts with Dill. This is someone that holds multiple D1 offers at this time and that list of offers is only going to grow as she continues to show her worth on hardwood. Which will start this week when her team takes the floor for their first Varsity game of the 2025-2026 high school season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1091299' first='Ella' last='Subbert'] is going to be the top dawg once again this Winter at ADM and I'm excited to see what they are going to be able to put together as a group. Subbert jumped onto the scene last year as a Freshman and she made her presence known as an experienced SF/CG. She played the 3 and 4 positions, rebounding consistently, scoring at a thorough rate, and defending like her life depended on it from the perimeter and in-between the blocks in the middle of the paint. All in all, Subbert showed a lot of promise over her career so far and that's only going to grow with time/experience. She holds a few college offers at this time and she should be a staple for her team this Winter so as long as she stays mentally locked in.
