Now that rankings content is done for now, we can look forward to the season tipping off this coming Tuesday. This weekend, I'd like to highlight a handful of players whom I'll be keeping tabs on throughout the 2025-26 season for various reasons. On Monday, I'll have a full day devoted to my predictions for the 2025-26 season, and I'll be open to being wrong on multiple occasions this season.

In Appleton East's run to the state tournament last season, I said all year that MontMarquette was the glue that held that group together and made everything make sense. She has never been a player who needs the ball to excel, but can hurt defenses with the ball in her hands. She can attack the basket and knock down shots. However, her ability to read defenses quickly and make the correct reads is what sets her apart and helps her team excel offensively. She makes the game look simple.

[player_tooltip player_id='992484' first='Ambria' last='Fischer']

A teammate of MontMarquette, Fischer has an opportunity to step into a more significant role after some graduations last spring. It's hard not to appreciate what she brings to the floor when you watch her pick up her defensive assignment full court. The Patriot is a player who will compete whenever she's on the floor, and that alone will catch the attention of anyone who watches her. I believe she can frustrate almost any guard who has to line up against her. I'm not sure if she'll have a massive year scoring the ball, but she can impact games in the FVA.

[player_tooltip player_id='1353017' first='Kinnley' last='Fulcer']

Kimberly has been a deep group for a long time, and this season will be no different. However, due to injuries and graduations, there will be minutes available, and I'm curious if Fulcer can find her way into the Kimberly rotation. She is a competitive player who sees the floor well and can make quick reads offensively. I also believe she will make her guards' lives easier by spacing the floor and knocking down perimeter shots when they come her way.

[player_tooltip player_id='892249' first='Morgan' last='Mocadlo']

The Hortonville guard is wired to compete. Mocadlo is a player who stepped up in the absence of the Polar Bear backcourt last season and did a solid job as a primary ball handler in the FVA. However, with a Division 1 commit back healthy, she won't be asked to handle the ball every time down the floor. The benefit she will bring is that she can handle that role and take some of the responsibility when teams inevitably get more aggressive defensively. She has the experience and confidence to elevate the Hortonville backcourt this winter.
