Despite the loss to Princeton, Pannell was unstoppable. She knows exactly how to attack the rim and finish. I love her ability to switch speeds and how she splits defenders. Naziah (NuNu) will continue putting up big numbers this season. She surpassed the 1,000 point career mark. Offensively, opponents may know her number, but they will have an incredibly hard time containing her. Pannell is a kid that we will see at the next level!

What more can we say about Rose? She finished in double figure scoring on opening night to help lead Princeton over Capital. The overall skill set and growth from this athlete is fun to watch! In my notes, it went like this: Natalie with the offensive rebound and put back to get the Tigers on the board to start the 2nd quarter; Rose with the strong take to draw the foul and go 2-2 at the line; Rose with a beautiful spin move underneath to score! This is only a snippet of the game notes. Everyone should tune in to watch Natalie and this young Princeton squad!

Morgantown went on to beat Spring Mills 65-26. Notable performances by Maddie Ancell (20 points) and [player_tooltip player_id='1224988' first='Carper' last='Messerly'] (17 points)

Nelson shined in all aspects of the game against Spring Mills. She is one of the most versatile athletes in our state. She finished the game with a double-double. She poured in 11 points, added 10 steals, and 6 assists! Brenna is an excellent defender, a selfless kid, and a solid offensive contributor. Keep your eyes on this entire Morgantown squad!

Jeriyah is the elite one that continues to get it done. GW had no issue getting the win over Buckhannon Upshur. Pryor is the leader with a skill set that is unmatched. She joined the 1,000 point club, just one game into her junior season. George Washington is ranked number 2 in the coaches poll in AAAA to start the season, and everyone should know why. You can find plenty of talent on this GW team led by Pryor.

The West Virginia Wesleyan commit was stellar on opening night! John Marshall defeated Weir 79-27. Rilee poured in 22 points, added 9 rebounds, and 4 steals. This stat line is definitely a familiar one. Storm averaged 21 points and 9 rebounds per game last season. She is the definition of an athlete that has unwavering determination and a mindset that is fully committed to the grind. Storm is a special athlete and she is going to have one awesome senior season before heading to the next level!
