We are officially halfway through June's camp month. This means that in a few weeks, the travel schedule will resume and top-tier prospects will be looking to finish the 2026 grassroots season with a flourish before the 2026-27 academic year begins.

There is also a live period during June. That will occur this upcoming weekend and the attention of many a South Carolina high school girls basketball fan will be on Riverview Park as the North Augusta venue once again hosts the SCBCA Live Camp event.

One can expect for even more activity on the Palmetto State's recruiting trail – even more than there already is. Here is the latest from said trail.

At the beginning of last month, Fowler secured an offer from IMG Academy in Florida. Before that, Fowler received her first Division I offer courtesy of George Mason. She recently took part in the A1 Hoops Team Shootout at SCISA 3A Northside Christian and spent her most recent live period with [program_tooltip program_id='1248511' first='Amp' last='Elite'] at Live At LakePoint. The freshman guard for the Fury led her 4A Fountain Inn team in scoring last season as she averaged 8.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest in 2025-26. Fowler was one of only two from the class of 2029 on last season's Fountain Inn squad.

As June commenced, Singletary would land her first Division I offer as Morehead State extended one in her direction. One can guess that will be far from the last time such an offer will be fielded by Singletary. After a pair of seasons in the 5A Division 2 ranks, Singletary's Irmo assembling will make its return to the 4A ranks next season. Singletary is playing up in class with [program_tooltip program_id='1238252' first='Twelve' last='Time'] EYCL 15U which spent May's live period at Nike Session 2 in New Orleans. Singletary is looking to build on a 2025-26 season where she earned team co-captaincy duties as an eighth grader. She averaged 23.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 3.6 steals per contest last season for the Yellow Jackets.

Speaking of premier rising freshmen across the Palmetto State, that distinction certainly applies to this talented guard from the Upstate. Last week, Mitchum received her first collegiate offer which was an in-state get courtesy of Erskine College. Mitchum has plenty of years to go before she makes a collegiate decision but one can see why Flying Fleet coach Lisa Jackson would want to have Mitchum in an Erskine uniform when we arrive at 2030. She played in 24 games last season at 4A Pickens and led the Blue Flame in scoring averaging 12.6 points per game. Mitchum also led Pickens in steals (4.6 per contest) and assists (3.8 per contest) along with being second among Blue Flame participants in rebounding (5.3 per contest). Mitchum is bringing her talents to Daniel starting with the 2026-27 season.

We at Prep Girls Hoops have already had a chance to get a pair of glimpses at what coach Lewis Mungo's 3A Camden team will resemble. It appears the Bulldogs will continue to be the state power it has been throughout the last several years. DuPree is another of the top rising freshmen across the state and recently landed an offer from an in-state Division I school in Presbyterian. DuPree would play in 23 games last season for a Bulldogs team that concluded its 2025-26 season with a berth in the 4A Upper State semifinals. She is more than poised for a breakout freshman season at Michael G. Culp Court.

Following June's camp month, Barlow is set to resume her travel schedule with Carolina Hornets United on July 5 at the LBI Summer Showcase in Concord, North Carolina. Barlow would recently pick up an offer from Queens University. She adds this offer to a previous one she secured last year from Presbyterian. Barlow was part of a Dorman team that earned a berth to the 5A Division 1 Upper State semifinals last season. The Cavaliers recently took part in the Zaxby's Shootout at 2A Blacksburg. Barlow was the only participant from the class of 2028 that was part of last season's Cavaliers team.

She was one of five from the class of 2027 that were part of last season's Dorman team. She also took part at a recent camp at Claflin. The SC Future 17U product has played at the high school varsity level since she was in middle school and competed in 27 contests throughout a solid 2025-26 season at the 4A level for the Bulldogs. Gipson is one of the premier names among rising eighth graders and she has already landed her first collegiate offer. It was of the in-state variety and courtesy of Newberry College. She is a major reason why the Falcons of 4A Ben Lippen can be considered a team of the immediate future. Gipson would compete in all 30 games for a Falcons team that advanced to the semifinals of last year's SCISA 4A tournament.
