South Carolina held its annual SCBCA Elite Camp on Saturday in Charleston, SC. With a large contingent of the states talent under one roof it was a good opportunity for players, parents, and college coaches to take in a competitive day of basketball. In this article we will dive into some of the standout players that this scout witnessed. Each of these players can be productive for teams at the next level and are ready for big seasons at their respective high schools.

Jade is no stranger here to PGH and showcased why she is one of the top talents in the 2028 class. She was very active on both ends of the floor and brought a veteran leadership presence to the floor. Like a shark in the water on Saturday, once she smelled a weakness of the other team she attacked relentlessly. Whether she was directing the pick and roll, leading the fast break, or being crafty with her passing, Jade looked comfortable and in control no matter who she was playing against.

Samiah was one of the true wing players in attendance on Saturday who is firmly rooted in the position. Able to guard 1-5 effectively, and able to score or facilitate as needed, Samiah showcased an unmatched versatility throughout the camp. Offensively she was able to drive the lane and use a variety of crafty finishes to score. One thing that impressed in particular on Saturday was her coachability. Samiah could be seen constantly talking to her coach to ensure they worked in unison on the floor, and making adjustments as needed to help her team win.

One of the best shooters on Saturday, Harper connected from deep time and time again. This 2027 SG hit shots at a good percentage and was in constant movement to find space. She also did a great job of putting the ball on the deck when defenders closed out on her. If she wasn't able to get all the way to the cup she was able to find her teammates and make solid plays in tight spaces.

The long 6'2" prospect could not be guarded on Saturday. Able to score at will in the interior while going both directions, Trinity's presence on the floor was felt early and often. Trinity also connected on multiple 3 pointers throughout the day and even scored 10 straight for her team in a game. At one point on Saturday Trinity was the loudest player in the gym while playing for her squad. Clapping her hands and talking on defense, showing off her competitive fire for all to see.

The two time All-State PG from Berkeley was in her bag on Saturday. She took every opportunity afforded her to score at a high level and did a great job leading her team to victories. She has tremendous change of pace with the ball in her hands and one of the deepest shooting strokes in attendance. As a player that has to be guarded all the way out to the volleyball line, who can then blow right nearly anyone, Alaina continues to cement herself as a top guard in the 2028 class.

The quick guard from Daniel did a great job making winning plays throughout the day in Charleston. She has excellent court vision and made a variety of nice passes for assists throughout. What stood out the most was her really high motor and her communication every time she was on the floor. She was arguably one of the best communicators on Saturday either directing the offensive flow from the PG position, or communicating on the defensive end through rotations and switches. Campbell is a capable scorer who had a team loaded with talent, but her unselfishness and communicating became the glue her team needed.

A solid PF prospect who played with a high motor on Saturday. Kaylyn could be seen several times grabbing a rebound and pushing the pace before finishing on the other end. She is quick and active around the glass and showed poise in her shot selection. Kaylyn was able to use a variety of post moves and pump fakes while playing off of two feet around the rim. She also showcased a soft touch from the free throw line and great ball instincts on the defensive end.

The senior center played inside and out throughout the day Saturday in Charleston. She has a scorers mentality and was aggressive throughout hunting shots for herself. Scratching the 6' mark she was a matchup problem for other bigs and guards alike. Imani is able to shed contact from smaller defenders and score through contact. On more than one occasion she went straight through the chest of a defender and earned herself trips to the free throw line or "and 1's". In addition she stepped out to the 3 point line with no hesitation, and showcased a smooth shooting touch from all over the floor.

An absolute scorer who can create her own shot, [player_tooltip player_id='365237' first='Amani' last='McCray'] is a name to watch this season as she prepares for her college basketball career. As a 3 level scorer who can also be a lock down defender, she was one of the best and most complete package guards in attendance on Saturday.
