2025 Watchlist Breakdown: Part One
We updated our 2025 watchlist this week and the list now stands at 20 total girls. This class has the early look of being a SPECIAL one and we’re excited to follow their growth and development for the next 4 years. This list is going to be broken down in 4 parts, in alphabetical order.
Nicole Archibald Nicole Archibald 5'6" | SG Bracken County | 2025 State KY , Bracken County – Bracken had an underwhelming 2021 season but it wasn’t due to lack of trying from Archibald. While seeing double teams nearly every night, Nicole averaged 11 points per game and led her team in nearly every statistical category as an 8th grader. She’s going to be an impact player for years to come in the 10th region.
Kate Baker Kate Baker 5'4" | PG Frederick Douglass | 2025 State KY , Frederick Douglass – The Douglass program is on the rise and Kate should be a big part of the future, both immediate and distant. Baker is a point guard who can create offense for herself or others. Her 8th grade season averages were modest but she’s got a bright future and should start making a big impact for the Broncos.
Grace Bale Grace Bale 5'7" | SG Taylor County | 2025 State KY , Green County – Green County has had some talent the last few years and Bale looks like the next one up. Grace shows the potential to be a good shooter in addition to her abilities to get paint touches off the bounce and create offense for herself or her teammates. She’s a name to monitor in the 5th region the next few seasons.
Hayden Barrier Hayden Barrier 5'6" | SG Montgomery County | 2024 State KY , Montgomery County – Barrier was a top 10 ranked 2024 who chose to use SB 128 to move back to the 2025 class. She’s a super talented guard with multiple D1 offers already who will only keep getting better as she grows and develops her game. Look for her to continue to improve her scoring efficiency at Montgomery as she has more talent around her this season.
Peyton Bradley Peyton Bradley 5'9" | CG Meade County | 2025 State KY , Meade County – Meade has been putting out college talent for the last few years and Peyton looks like she’s going to be next up. Bradley scored over 17 points per game as an 8th grader last year and it looks like the sky could be the limit for her as she will only get better (and stronger) as she grows the next few years. She’s definitely a top 10 or better talent in the class.
