is poised for a special travel season after a highly respectable regular season that saw Beals average 16.6 points per game, nearly 400 points, and even 3.2 steals per game – showing her impact on both sides of the floor. Beals is a reliable offensive player with a smooth float game, a quick step, an attack of the rim, and one of the smoothest left-handed strokes in her class. Beals is the player who puts her body on the line, taking charges and is not afraid to take a hit from the opposing guard.

Acelia is a quick and shifty lefty guard who puts constant pressure on the defense. She has a tight handle highlighted by a quick crossover and hesi dribble that allows her to create separation off the bounce. She is a knockdown shooter who can score at all three levels by using a smooth euro step and soft runner to finish in the paint. On the defensive end, she applies strong ball pressure and competes which makes her a two-way presence at the point.

is a smooth operator with a smooth left handed jumper that connects from anywhere on the floor. Beals is a confident shooter who can score in a set offense or in transition. In either instance she is letting that three ball fly. Her shooting is just just part of her game that is impressive. Her ball handling and understanding of angles speaks to her high ball IQ, and she plays with great anticipation as well. Beals is an elite guard who can impact the game in so many ways, and she will continue to climb the rankings as a result.

can flat out “ball” and the tape shows it. First of all, that left hand jumper is so smooth (there is something about a left handed player who can shoot the rock). Beal is more that a shooter, but let’s start from behind the arc. She shot one from the right corner in the first half and it looked like her momentum was carrying out of bounds line, but she calmly let the left handed “J” fly. In the second half, Beals knocked down a few more threes. One came in transition and then a third one came from the right elbow. That one is a play where legendary status could be obtained. Her point guard drew the defense and kicked it out to Beals around the right elbow. Beals caught the pass, head faked the defender and let a three ball go. As the ball was in the air, her point guard held up three fingers and started her retreat to the defensive side of the court. While heading down the court, the point guard heard the loud “swish”. Beals has very good handles and uses angles well to get pass or at least neutralize defenders. On defense, she has active hands and is not afraid to mix it up with bigger players. She constantly picked her self off the court as a result of her no-fear approach to the game.

Acelia continues to impress as she seems to always stand out as a top player on her team(s) all-year round. The lefty has some of the best handles and ball control in the state. She can hit the outside shot, knock down a runner, or use her step through move to get to the rim and finish with either hand. For Charlotte this season, Cece chipped in 14.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 3.1 apg, and 2.1 apg.

of Charlotte High School has been on a tear this season. With a young team, most didn’t expect them to be competing for a district championship, but Beals has played a huge role in their success. Her ability to put the team on her shoulders and do whatever is needed proves she is one of the best combo guards in the state. The sophomore is leading the team in points at 15.1 PPG and assists at 3.0 APG, showcasing both skill and leadership.

is currently averaging 17.1 points per game and 3.6 assists per game this season, leading her team in both categories. Beals has embraced a leadership role after several players transferred, graduated, and a new coaching staff took over. She has stepped up as the team’s primary scoring option and has excelled in this position.
Beals scores in a variety of ways. She shoots effectively off the catch with a smooth follow-through, handles the ball well under pressure, and has a knack for splitting defenses and finishing around taller defenders with finesse. On the defensive end, she stays low, uses active hands, and frequently intercepts lazy passes for easy steals.
In addition to her scoring ability, Beals does all the little things well and plays hard every possession. She ensures her teammates are involved by penetrating defenses and drawing defenders to create wide-open opportunities for others.
The sophomore has significantly increased her stock this season by demonstrating leadership both vocally and through her actions. She is poised to finish the season as one of the top players in the area.
