About Aliah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a physical, versatile forward who plays with intensity on both ends. I rebound aggressively, defend multiple positions, and can finish through contact or stretch the floor. I bring energy, leadership, and a team-first mentality every time I step on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a competitive, focused mentality—I’m driven to improve every day and never back down from a challenge. I lead by example, stay coachable, and bring positive energy to every practice and game. I’m confident, humble, and always team-first.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

NJHS/ Honor Roll

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed leadership by setting the tone on and off the court—encouraging teammates, staying accountable, and leading by example. I’ve also grown in teamwork through playing multiple sports and understanding how to adapt to different roles. Off the court, I’m involved in community service, giving back through local volunteer work.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, managing two sports at a high level while maintaining strong academics has definitely been a challenge. Playing up in older age groups pushes me physically and mentally, and balancing basketball, softball, and school takes focus and discipline. But it’s taught me time management, resilience, and how to stay committed to my goals no matter what.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a competitive basketball program, strong academic support, and a team culture that feels like family. I want a school where I can grow as both a student-athlete and a leader, and be pushed to reach my full potential on and off the court.

One of the few true post players in the class, she stands out with her size, strength, footwork, and interior physicality while also protecting the rim and controlling the glass. Aliah plays beyond her years, stays composed, and fills her role at a high level. Her versatility sets her apart as she can push the ball in transition, make quick outlet passes, and space the floor with her jumper. With continued development, she has the tools to become one of the most dominant players in the state.
