Christine imposed her will in the paint during Belleville’s semifinal victory against Dexter on Monday. Christine finished well around the basket with several layups off two feet. She muscled her way into position for offensive rebounds, which resulted in putbacks. Christine scored 10 with eight rebounds. She is strong, mobile, and a very impactful player on both ends for the Tigers.

Christine is a phenomenal wing prospect from Belleville who got the chance to shine with a different rotation at U of M Team Camp. She is incredibly long and athletic with a quick burst off the dribble. Christine scored multiple and-one finishes through fouls at the rim, blocked shots, worked hard on defense, and was a relentless rebounder. Christine demonstrated the attributes necessary to play basketball at the next level and she is going to be an exciting player to watch with the Tigers.

They develop talent at Belleville and Chinemelu has the makings of a great one. She plays good vertical defense under the rim which helps her challenge shooters and stay out of foul trouble. Chinemelu does a great job boxing out and sealing her defender when the shot goes up. She can finish through contact, draw fouls and get to the free throw line.
