Cevanna picked up her first college offer from Wayne State in July, and she definitely demonstrated the qualities of a guard prospect that translate to the higher levels at the PGH Michigan Expo. Cevanna has a long frame, athleticism, quickness, and shifty guard skills that immediately grab your attention. A defender tried picking Cevanna up way out on the perimeter, and she crossed over to her left, then attacked downhill with a burst to get to the rim. I liked how Cevanna went up many times with her left around the basket. She drove hard to the basket for an off-hand finish, caught a pass with good hands to score an athletic layup, and created open shots for teammates off dribble penetration. Cevanna was unselfish with the ball and very effective as a facilitator. She changed directions on a dime using smooth crossover dribbles. Cevanna screened for a teammate to create an open look leading to three points. She had a notable day for Team 10 and is a prospect with a high ceiling at Belleville.

Cevanna, a guard for West Michigan Drive , showcased her athleticism and explosiveness throughout the Mitten Summer Showdown. She used a quick first step to create separation, attacked the basket with purpose, and consistently got downhill to put pressure on opposing defenses. Cevanna finished strong at the rim while also proving she could stretch the floor by knocking down multiple shots from beyond the arc. Defensively, she was active and disruptive, coming away with several steals that helped ignite her team’s transition game. Her ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor made her one of the standout guards at the event.

Cevanna, competing with Team Sparks at the P2W Headliners Invitational Showcase, brought an energetic and impactful presence on both ends of the floor. She showed her ability to score from the perimeter by knocking down a three during 3v3 play, demonstrating confidence in her shot. In 5v5 action, she elevated her defensive impact, coming up with a big block that highlighted her timing and athleticism. Quick and active, Cevanna used her speed to stay engaged defensively and make plays, consistently competing and contributing with her effort and mobility throughout her time on the court.

Cevanna brought athleticism and intensity to Team 9 at the PGH Freshman Showcase, standing out with her bounce and aggressive style of play. Defensively, she had quick hands and stayed active in passing lanes, causing problems for opposing ball handlers. Her explosive first step allowed her to attack the rim with purpose and keep defenders on their heels.

Tough defender with length!  I love her pressure defense!  She has range from deep – no problem draining the 3! What a move with authority to the bucket! Long frame that gets great shots inside and rebounds!
