Prep Girls Hoops takes a look at some programs in the  Class 2A Ranks you could be seeing play later this month in the SCHSL Playoffs. Can Christ Church get back to the State Championship ? Will North Charleston HS make it to the playoffs ? Who is the team to beat this season ? Lets take a look in no particular order here. <strong>Blacksburg HS (10-1) </strong> The Wildcats are led by the trio of <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124082" first="Mikala" last="Logan"]</strong> 18.2 ppg, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172491" first="Essence" last="Caviness"]</strong> 15 ppg and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="185231" first="Tyty" last="Tate"]</strong> 10.7 ppg. Caviness is set to play at Denmark Tech College next year. The Lady Wildcats (8-0) in the region play Brasier Middle College (10-4) (6-2) tonight. <strong>Silver Bluff HS (8-1) </strong> The Lady Bulldogs recently won the region championship under Head Coach Chasen Redd. The Bulldogs seem to be getting good leadership from <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="243447" first="Kalyn" last="Glover"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175386" first="Aaliyah" last="Lawrence"]. </strong> <strong>Christ Church (11-4) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-230831" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/11/9695086D-3755-448F-BDDF-F0C9905C37F6-300x169.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="169" /> The Lady Cavaliers lost in the State Championship Game last year to North Charleston HS. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124091" first="McCall" last="King"]</strong> is the leader of this team averaging 21.1 ppg this season. King currently has scored 1,615 points in 5 seasons on the varsity roster. King ranks #3 in the Palmetto State 2022 Class. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="222148" first="Madeline" last="Duwe"]</strong> has really stepped up this season averaging 16.1 ppg and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="219371" first="Mary" last="Wilson Reyner"]</strong> chips in at 9.1 ppg. <strong>Saluda (9-0) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-246208" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2021/01/58728C19-5604-42C4-AA44-0CD00E82DA71.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171749" first="Kalisha" last="Hill"]</strong> has been the staple here for the Lady Tigers program. Hill a senior has scored over 1,250 career points. <strong>Andrew Jackson HS (Kershaw) (8-3) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-199802" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/09/DADAEEFD-F8FB-4AE8-A730-FB8AC76E2CA1.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> The Lady Volunteers are just getting back from Covid-19 protocols. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175322" first="Tamia" last="Watkins"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="172489" first="Oksana" last="Lathan"]</strong> lead the way. The Lady Volunteers win Region 4-AA  at (7-0) with a win over North Central HS 77-18. Watkins is averaging 19.6 ppg and 12.7 rebounds this season as a 8th grader for the Lady Volunteers. The Lady Volunteers lost last season in the 3rd of the Playoffs to Saluda HS. <strong>Philip Simmons HS (5-1) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-212807" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/Kylee-Kellermann-45-2-e1602614631441-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /> The Lady Iron Horses have won the Region 6-AA for the first time in school history. The school is just in its 4th year of existence. Sophomores <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175384" first="Kylee" last="Kellermann"]</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="197358" first="Kennedy" last="Rivers"]</strong> lead this team from the back court. Kellerman is currently averaging 16.7 ppg and Rivers comes in at 15.2 ppg. Kellerman currently has 888 career points while Rivers has 807 points. Both players have been on the varsity squad since 7th grade. <strong>Marion HS (2-0) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-185700" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/07/500DC45C-4504-4CDD-9F8C-B9B5B876BD34.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> The Lady Swamp Foxes lost in the Class 3A State Championship Game last season to Keenan HS. Marion HS (29-2) last year has just played 2 games this season do to Covid-19. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171741" first="Kimmie" last="Barnes"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="173104" first="Tonaja" last="Lester"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171740" first="Mariah" last="Moody"]</strong> provide senior leadership for Head Coach Crasten Davis. Barnes recently picked up a offer from Coker University (SC) (NCAA D2). The Lady Swamp Foxes have not played for 2 months and will start back up this Friday night vs Andrews HS. The Swamp Foxes have a game down the road with county and region rival Mullins HS on February 17. <strong>Mullins HS (3-0) </strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-185333" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/07/0679632B-6C00-41FB-A1C4-B4DB35F75283.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> The Lady Auctioneers haven’t played in a long time just like region foe Marion HS. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124081" first="Jen’lea" last="Nichols"]</strong> is the leader on this roster for Head Coach Myron Gerald. The Lady Auctioneers will start back up on February 9. <strong>Latta HS (2-0)</strong> <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-204512" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/09/B13B0354-137A-4003-A4D4-26B5712AC25E.jpeg" alt="" width="300" height="225" /> The Lady Vikings play in the same region with Marion HS and Mullins HS. The Lady Vikings rely on <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171747" first="Moya" last="McDuffie"]</strong> for senior leadership. McDuffie has scored 1,176 career points. What teams will prevail in the region to move onto the playoffs ? Latta HS opens play with Kingstree HS tomorrow night. The Vikings lost in the Lower State Championship Game last season to North Charleston HS. <strong>Burke HS (Charleston) (3-2) </strong> Veteran Head Coach Jimmy Brown is the Head Coach of the Lady Bulldogs program. The Lady Bulldogs recently lost to Philip Simmons HS 50-42 in region play. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="196266" first="Dream" last="Watson"]</strong> is a name to remember for the Lady Bulldogs. <strong>Buford HS (Lancaster) (9-3)</strong> The Lady Yellow Jackets have been led all season long by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="251273" first="Avery" last="Plyler"]. </strong> <strong>Chesterfield HS (7-2) </strong> The Lady Rams stand (6-1) in region play behind Buford HS and Andrew Jackson HS. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="241663" first="Raeleigh" last="Rivers"]</strong> has been carrying the Lady Rams this season with her 17.5 ppg. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="252525" first="Kierra" last="Diggs"]</strong> just a freshman is averaging 7.5 ppg.
