Dillard’s been written about a lot lately, but she certainly deserves it. Her stock began it’s climb probably in 2021, but it’s continued to rise significantly in 2022. I love how well rounded her game is, giving her the ability to consistently find a way to influence the game. Dillard has strength, athleticism and versatility to match.

Albanese has been making some noise, both during grassroots season and so far this high school season. She’s proven to be a dangerous 3 point shooter especially in catch and shoot situations. Albanese can shoot from the corner as well as work off the baseline. I like the way she uses a quick jump stop when she attacks the rim off the bounce.
Wright has obviously learned a lot from her predecessors at Arbor Prep. She sent a message loud and clear in 2022. She honed her perimeter skills over the summer and then put her game on display at the PGH Michigan Top 250. Wright plays with so much energy and grit and will hit the floor and make the hustle plays.

Playing a high level of defense can really take you far in the game of basketball. Pobocik has let her defense rule the day. Don’t get me wrong, she has offensive abilities like playing in transition and finishing through contact. But it’s her anticipation on defense and her ability to lock down on the perimeter that ignited her rise.
Morson skyrocketed up the rankings last year, and I don’t think she’s even close to being done. She’s an elite athlete that is so tough to stop with her mid range game. Morson can pull up and bury a jumper from anywhere. She even has the ability and smarts to go off the glass with it. Morson is a program type player, the type of kid you want to build off of.
There has been no more dramatic rise in my opinion in 2022. Kincaid went from a really good role player at the grassroots level…..to a bona fide high school star and a player that I’m pushing for to have a seat at the Miss Basketball final table. She’s a constant triple-double threat. Pay attention young players, because I really believe that it was Kincaid’s willingness to be taught and learn all aspects of the game as a role player that led to her current star status. Kincaid bet on herself, got good coaching, and now she’s one of the best.
Bolton has always been an explosive player but her stock rise has come from the way she’s put her game together. She still attacks the defense with the dribble drive, but she’s under control and has a plan of attack. Bolton has become a 2 way player that doesn’t hesitate on the defensive end.
Bynum really put her name on the map playing in the PGH Circuit with Downriver Elite. She was excellent with the ball in her hands, showing the ability to be a primary ball handler at a high level and the ability to control the pace when she had it in her hands. Bynum has a knack for working her way in the lane and making plays from there.
