Class of 2025
Shalyn Sprinkles
Henderson County→Owensboro
Sprinkles will be making the move from the 2nd Region to the 3rd Region which is the region that has probably seen the most movement during this off-season. In fact, Owensboro is also adding 2026 guard (mentioned below). While the Lady Devils did graduate 5 players, they return their leading scorer and rebounder in A’Lyrica Hughes, a 1st Team All Region player. Now, they are adding a player that made it to the state tourney semifinals where she was selected to the 2023 Mingua Beef Jerky Sweet 16 All-Tournament team. One thing I’m very intrigued to see is how her and Carter-Swanagan pair up with their quickness and playmaking abilities.
2022-23 Stats (Henderson County): 9.9 PPG // 2.2 RPG // 42.9% FG (96/224) // 43.9% 3FG (50/114) // 71.8% FT (84/117)
Cameryn Ridderikhoff Cameryn Ridderikhoff 5'10" | SF Madison Central | 2025 State KY
Franklin County→Madison Central
Ridderikhoff actually isn’t technically a new transfer, but she was only able to play JV last season because of KHSAA transfer rules, so this will actually be her first season suiting up for the Indians on the Varsity level. This is huge for a team that had a very successful 22-7 season last year. This is a team that only lost by 7 to the reigning 11th Region champions, Frederick Douglass, in the regional tourney. While their leading scorer and rebounder from last season will not be back, she is the only loss out of their top 8 scorers on the year. Expect Ridderikhoff to not only fill that scoring role, but also that rebounding role. She continues to grow and expand her game while consistently turning heads on the AAU level with her Richmond Heat team. She is poised to have a big junior year and adding her to their core returners should make for a very exciting season for Madison Central.
2021-22 Stats (Franklin County): 4.8 PPG // 1.7 RPG // 32.4% FG (48/139) // 29.4% 3FG (32/109) // 56.8% FT (21/37)
6th Region Transfer
Unofficial and has not been made public, so I don’t want to include too much information in case it doesn’t work out, but I will update this with the actual player info once it is made official. For now, here’s a teaser: had the best field goal percentage at her previous school while also being a top 5 contributor as both a scorer and a rebounder. Looking great and playing with a lot more confidence recently. Will definitely help fill some of the gaps that were left by seniors at her new school.
Class of 2026
Apollo→Daviess County
After leading Apollo in scoring last season, Lane is following her head coach to Daviess County next season. While Daviess County graduated their leading offensive threat from last season (who was also the 3rd Region POY), they do return a solid group of contributors, including their leading rebounder and 2nd leading scorer, Zoey Beehn. As far what they lost offensively, Lane should be able to more than fill that hole. At Apollo, she also had a team-best 3-point field goal percentage and free throw percentage. Lane was a 1st Team All Region selection as a freshman and her game continues to grow.
2022-23 Stats (Apollo): 19.1 PPG // 2.9 RPG // 39.4% FG (194/492) // 35% 3FG (70/200) // 78.1% FT (114/146)
Miyah Courtney Miyah Courtney CG Elizabethtown | 2026 State KY
Bardstown→Elizabethtown
Courtney’s mom was recently named the new coach at Elizabethtown High School, so of course, the talented young guard and her younger sister will also be transitioning from Bardstown to Etown. Courtney is a huge addition in general, but especially considering that Etown’s 5 seniors from last season averaged 37.4 PPG (of the team’s 48.9 PPG) and 18.7 RPG (of the team’s 28.3 RPG). Miyah has already shown her ability to score after leading Bardstown in scoring last season, but she is much more than a scorer. In fact, we have ranked her as one of the top ten players in the 2026 class.
2022-23 Stats (Bardstown): 12.7 PPG // 3.7 RPG // 31.6% FG (137/434) // 25% 3FG (46/184) // 58.4% FT (73/125)
Somerset→North Laurel
After playing for Somerset in the 12th Region the past few seasons, Combs will be playing for the reigning 13th Region champs, North Laurel, next season. This is significant because after going 30-7 last year and making it to the 2nd round of the state tourney, the Lady Jaguars graduated only one player. Now, that one player was their leading scorer, but they still return the majority of their talented team from last season. Adding Combs to that mix gives them another talented guard with a ton of potential.
2022-23 Stats (Somerset): 6.2 PPG // 2.9 RPG // 42.3% FG (80/189) // 22.4% 3FG (11/49) // 47.5% FT (28/59)
Apollo→Owensboro
Sapp was Apollo’s 3rd leading scorer last season as a freshman and she will be looking to continue making waves in the 3rd Region for Owensboro next season. While the Lady Devils had a successful season last year, going 21-11 and making it to the 3rd Region Championship, they will look to improve even more this upcoming season. They return their leading scorer and rebounder, A’Lyrica Hughes, along with many other contributors from last season, while adding Sapp and former Henderson County guard, Shalyn Sprinkles.
2022-23 Stats (Apollo): 5.6 PPG // 4.4 RPG // 37.2% FG (51/137) // 31.4% 3FG (22/70) // 72.9% FT (43/59)
Estill County→Bath County
Tiller’s father was recently named an Assistant Coach for the Bath County GBB team, so it’s only right that his daughter is making that move with him. This is significant because out of the four players listed as forwards for Bath County last season, only one shooting forward is set to return, so they have now added a solid power forward to their roster.
2022-23 Stats (Estill County): 1 PPG // 2.3 RPG // 37.9% FG (11/29) // 80% FT (4/5)
Meade County (KY)→South Central (IN)
Debated if I was going to include transfers moving outside of Kentucky in this article and decided I would at least mention them here since it is technically a transfer from Kentucky. Keith only appeared in one game for Meade County last season, so I can’t pull the stats, but the 5’6″ PG will be suiting up for South Central Jr Sr High School in Indiana next season.
