Cunningham does a little bit of everything while on the floor. This season she will have a new address at South Pointe HS after leaving Northwestern HS this off season. JaNyia is so effective on the floor with her play. She has a great skill set for her size and moves well all over the floor. JaNyia literally can play all 5 positions on the floor.
She handled the ball up the floor, scored on drives to the bucket while rebounding on both ends of the floor. Cunningham brings PRODUCTION when she is on the floor.
Mungo a left-handed guard really looks to attack the cup when given the chance. She really does a nice job of anticipating in the passing lanes. Braylin will pick up steals and head the other direction in transition for an uncontested layup. Defenders don’t back off of her while she is on the perimeter otherwise, she will make you pay with an open knockdown jumper.
Braylin is a crafty passer and really does a nice job of seeing the floor. She helped the Lady Bulldogs win a Class 3A State Championship last season.
Highlights
Delly is just another talented player coming out of Kershaw County. Trinity jumps on the deck for loose balls while collecting a few floor burns along the way. She makes heady decisions with the ball in her hands. Trinity connected on some short jumpers along the baseline and while pulling-up in transition here today.
Delly plays very well around and off the ball and always remains active on the floor at all times.
Murray a left-handed forward really does a good job of rebounding the ball through contact and outside of her area. Logan is most effective around the basket while providing putbacks and collecting rebounds. She’s feels very comfortable handling the rock up the floor at times. Logan saw good minutes as an 8th grader a season ago for the Lady Tigers at the Class 4A level.
Hobson plays over at Lugoff-Elgin HS just across the Wateree River from Camden. Teryn does her best work around the basket. She has good length to protect the rim at times. Hobson plays active and a bit off the grid for this Lady Demons program. Teryn averaged 9.6 ppg this past season as an 8th grader. Prep Girls Hoops saw her this past spring on the local Grassroots Circuit.
Rush plays side by side with Hobson on this Lady Demons roster. Jillian averaged 11.9 ppg and 9.6 rebounds this past season for the Lady Demons as an 8th grader. She will work for position down low on the block and carve out space. Jillian understands angles at times on how to seal off her defender.
Can this Lady Demons duo make some noise in the years to come for Lugoff-Elgin HS?
The talent just keeps coming out of Kershaw County – which is absolutely a bit scary. Jefferson is another piece on this Lady Bulldogs team to use on any given night. Harmony brings good length and a willingness to defend on the floor. Jefferson can knockdown some short jumpers when given the opportunity. She plays the game to the fullest with her constant hustle and really remains vocal on the floor with her teammates.
