Playoffs: Grand Strand Roundup

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Girls Hoops decided to stay on the Grand Strand for the opening night of the SCHSL Playoffs. North Myrtle Beach HS hosted Irmo HS here in the 1st Round in Little River. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><em>Chiefs Roll in First Half:</em></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The host Lady Chiefs were not very friendly guest towards Irmo HS tonight. The Lady Chiefs cruised to a 26-0 lead at the halftime break. North Myrtle Beach HS would end up winning 53-21 to advance to the 2nd round on Friday vs Bluffton. Livingston plays every possession like it's her last one on the floor. Abby was able to pick up some deflections in the passing lanes with her quick hands. Livingston finished with 10 points. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='759610' first='Elaina' last='Whalen']</strong> is part of the future of the Irmo HS program. Farmer led the way tonight with 26 points in the win. Faith did her damage with jumpers and getting to the foul line. She tends to play better off the ball with her play. Howard has legit size down on the block and a great set of hands to catch anything thrown in her direction. She can finish with both hands around the cup. Washington plays the game with a blue-collar mindset. She likes to play on contact and really does a nice job of keeping the ball up after claiming it off the glass. Summerville HS prevailed here in this opening round Class 5A Playoff game 43-23. The Lady Green Wave were led in scoring by <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='453217' first='Molly' last='Daugherty'] </strong>and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='662508' first='Madison' last='Thomas']</strong> both with 9 points. Davis was a force and relentless all night long around the paint area. Sophomore <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='355639' first='Miracle' last='Mclean']</strong> finished with 12 points in the win.
