The atmosphere at Fowlerville High School was completely hyped with an awesome pregame playlist, passionate spectators, a rowdy student section, and an exciting game! Here are the prospects who showed out in that game and others from two district final games tonight.
Christina Dixon Christina Dixon 5’10” | SG Haslett | 2026 State MI needed to have a monster night for the Vikings to win and that’s exactly what she did. Christina scored a game high 19 points and added 10 rebounds with 3 steals to her stat line. Christina started the game with a deep step back jumper and a contested left finish after an offensive rebound. She showed her determination after missing a layup by outworking her opponent for the rebound and then finishing the next one. Dixon is an athletic playmaker with a relentless effort in all phases.
Kaitlyn Johnson Kaitlyn Johnson 5’10” | SF Haslett | 2026 State MI was a major player for Haslett whose big time performance inside got them off to a hot start in the first quarter. She excelled in all areas as she drove baseline then threaded an assist to a teammate and scored on countless pivot moves in the paint. Kaitlyn faced up and crossed over her defender many times on her path to buckets at the rim and demonstrated poise with the ball in key moments. She put up 15 points for the Vikings in their victory tonight.
Alexis Turner Alexis Turner SG Haslett | 2026 State MI made crucial plays on the court tonight that contributed to a district championship for Haslett. She hustled to save a loose ball off a defender going out of bounds and then made a diving play late in the game to save another loose ball to a teammate on offense. Alexis knocked down a top of the key 3, knocked down four FT’s and ended the game with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Her efforts in all phases and smart decision making with the ball were key factors in the team’s success.
Claire Casey
Claire Casey
Claire Casey (2024, SG) ended her Senior season with an outstanding performance for Williamston. She is committed to college for soccer, but Claire could easily be playing college basketball from what I saw Friday. She knocked down 4 triples for the Hornets with textbook shooting form, handled the ball with poise and control under pressure, added 3 boards, and a steal.
Alison Farr Alison Farr 5’5″ | PG Howell | 2025 State MI came up big for Howell in the final moments of the fourth quarter and into a tight overtime finish. She scored a floater late in the fourth before Hartland tied it up, scored another floater in OT, and converted a strong finish through contact in the paint late in OT. Alison’s ball handling under pressure and scoring in the final moments helped secure Howell’s second district championship over Hartland in the past two years.
Highlights
Jaylen Nokovich
Jaylen Nokovich
Jaylen Nokovich (2024 Wing) has been a key contributor for Hartland all season with her toughness on both ends and tonight was no different. She stepped up her game in the third quarter, knocking down a 3 from top of the key, another 3 from the corner, and shifted from help to block a shot at the rim multiple times. Jaylen has been a phenomenal player for the Eagles all season and gave her team a boost in the district finals today.
