-Wilson-Manyacka was everywhere last night in a big comeback win for Bullis after trailing by 11 in the 4Q. Her blend of strength and movement skills are very advanced for her age, allowing her to fill different roles for her team as a shooter, post scorer, transition playmaker, and versatile defender. Bright future ahead for this W/F prospect.

-Yarnevich was an absolute menace in the paint for Bullis, nearly collecting a 20-20 game while scoring on the low block and as a midrange shooter. She uses her frame and does her work early to carve out space on post-ups, with advanced footwork to pivot around the defense in the post to score if they force her to pick the ball up. Her ability to earn and hit FTs down the stretch sealed the game for Bullis to advance to the championship game Friday.

-Craft’s presence in the paint on both ends of the floor dominated the semifinal matchup, 1 pt and 3 rebounds away from a 20-20 performance in a big game. She has the tenacity to get to 50/50 balls and rebounds in traffic but also has the touch to finish around/over defenders in the paint. Motor runs hot on both ends of the floor, I expect more perimeter shots to fall for her teammates to boost the assist numbers as well. Her matchup with Bullis’ two bigs will likely decide the outcome of the game.

-Weaver was far and away the most valuable player for MZ, leading a comeback attempt that almost was successful down the stretch. Weaver understands angles and sets up the defense well with a low dribble or two before crossing over and getting to her spots. Her hustle defensively in transition to save several buckets showed the motor and heart that she plays with. An intelligent passer that makes the right read consistently off screens, the threat to score or pass makes her much harder to guard in the halfcourt.

-Harris’ motor never runs cold and her rebounding has given her team second chance opportunities that have sustained the Lady Mustangs’ run through the WCAC and MDPSSBT playoffs without some key players in the lineup. A tenacious offensive rebounder that uses the glass well for putbacks inside and outside of the paint, the soft touch belies an athlete that physical and strong. Her play on both ends of the floor leads to winning,

-Osby was a locomotive for the Lady Panthers in this one, physical drives to the paint to find a teammate on the opposite side of the lane or to finish past an opponent. Her quickness and physicality off the bounce as a 6’1 sophomore makes her a name to track in 2026 as she adds more perimeter skill to her game.
21p 5r 3a vs Bullis
-Edwards really got it going with a pair of made 3s in the 2Q and never looked back, serving as a dynamic perimeter force for SFA in a close loss. She has the perimeter wiggle to get past her matchup with or without a screen and hit several audacious, deep 3 point baskets off the bounce. One of the top 2026 guards in the local class as a perimeter scoring machine.

-Samuels is such a dynamic player with her ability to score the basketball at a high level on the ball or off of it as a knockdown shooter. Athletically she is a gear ahead of most of her class, using all of her 6’1 frame to hit the glass and finish through contact. Our #2 ranked player in the 2027 class has a bright future ahead.

Londyn Banks
14p 2r 1a 1s vs McNamara
-Banks’ 3 point shooting led Mt. Zion back in this one, with two timely threes to extend MZ runs and a steal that led to an and-1 bucket from her teammate. Loved that Banks has the ability to stretch the defense with her shooting but also has the feel and timing to cut back door for easy buckets when her matchup got lost ball-watching. Will be intriguing to track her skill development as she will likely have more on-ball responsibilities moving forward.
