Here is a look at four prospects from each of the two late games who had impressive performances. This is the second report from 5A action at William L. White Auditorium.

[player_tooltip player_id='349460' first='Skylar' last='Seals'], 5'6”, SG, Maize South, ‘25

Seals is a skinny and tiny guard, but she plays all out. She is a sneaky shooter who scored a game-high 24 points for Maize South in the Mavericks win over St. Thomas Aquinas. She takes care of the ball and is not afraid to get in the post and get physical against taller players. She came off the bench for the Mavericks and converted on several clutch shots late in the game. Seals was a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line in Maize South's overtime win.

[player_tooltip player_id='265128' first='Ashley' last='Singhateh'], 5'8”, PG, Maize South, ‘24

Singhateh is a guard with excellent footwork. She is dangerous off the drive and showed off a sneaky euro-step for one bucket. She is dangerous with the ball in her hands and she does a nice job of distributing the ball and keeping teammates involved in the offense. She finished the game with 19 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field. She also grabbed eight rebounds and dished out three assists. Singhateh has excellent stamina as she played logged 36 minutes of playing time.

[player_tooltip player_id='649149' first='Alex' last='Crouse'], 5'7”, CG, St. Thomas Aquinas, ‘26

Crouse is a young prospect who can score in a variety of ways. She was the leading scorer for the Saints finishing with 18 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field. She can convert on the deep ball and score in transition. She is a hard worker and plays a ton of minutes for Aquinas. She shot an impressive 5-for-7 from 3-point range and dominated the fourth quarter to help force overtime. Much like Singhateh, Crouse was also on the court for the full 36 minutes of game time.

Kelsey Schenk, 5'11”, PF, St. Thomas Aquinas, ‘24

Schenk is a two-sport star for the Saints who is both a top basketball and volleyball prospect. She finished with 14 points for Aquinas and came up with five key rebounds. She shot 5-of-8 from the field and 4-for-6 from the free-throw line. She plays solid defense and helped stop the Mavericks' interior players from contributing in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='231285' first='Addie' last='Kirmer'], 5'7”, PG, Emporia, ‘24

Kirmer is one of the top players in the state and she did not disappoint me in this game. She can score from deep and take defenders off the ball. She is an unselfish player who distributes the ball well and plays plus-defense. She scored a game-high 16 points on 4-for-7 shooting from the field. The Spartan senior was clutch at the free-throw line shooting 7-for-10 from the stripe and sinking some clutch makes from the charity stripe in the stretch run to seal the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='453759' first='Ryan' last='Peak'], 5'9”, PF, Emporia, ‘24

Peak needed to play a physical game and she did. Both Emporia and Bishop Carroll are undersized teams and want to push the pace of the game. Peak battled inside to collect eight rebounds and five points. She snagged an offensive rebound with a quick putback to increase Emporia's lead in the fourth quarter.

[player_tooltip player_id='872362' first='Megan' last='Simon'], 5'10”, PF, Bishop Carroll, ‘25

Simon was the only athlete who had some imposing size for Bishop Carroll. She works hard but needs to improve her upper-body strength if she wants to play a post at the collegiate level. Her stat sheet in the loss to Emporia included a team-high 11 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

[player_tooltip player_id='544984' first='Avery' last='McCorry'], 5'10”, SG, Bishop Carroll, ‘26

McCorry is just a sophomore, but she plays like a more experienced player. She loves to run the floor and can play either shooting guard or small forward. McCorry had an all-around decent game recording four points, two rebounds, and one assist.
