Dynasty Region Finals Saturday Standouts 16U

The games started at 8am and so did the action in 2024 Dynasty Region Finals. Listed 8 players that caught my eye for many reasons. Leadership, hustle, scoring, defense or just plan out hustling in between the lines making things happen. The talent level was stacked this weekend as several really good younger teams played up. I will follow you back to keep upL      Listed at 5'11 she is a tall and long combo guard. Excellent shooter from beyond the arch knocking down the 3 all weekend. Great handles makes her that 1-3 position combo guard. Athletic player that can jump out of the gym which allowed her to hang in the air avoiding the block shot on her drives. Pushed the tempo on fastbreaks with speed and vision. Nice instincts in defending the passing lanes off the ball getting several steals for layups. Rotated on defense coming out of nowhere to block the shot.     Abbie played every position on the court of her team Saturday. She defended the post with her quickness able to get around the much larger post. On offense she used her height to be a tall point to pass over the pressure defense. Abbie can stretch the floor with her 3 point shot ability. The pull up jumper has good lift and the high release makes it hard for the taller defender to block. A very scrappy type player that goes all out for the loose rebound. A possible double double every time she plays     [player_tooltip player_id='874909' first='Savannah' last=''] is a long 6'2 that plays the 3 spot for her team. The length allows her to cover a lot of court on the press defense. Handles the ball in the open floor with up the floor vision. [player_tooltip player_id='874909' first='Savannah' last=''] is a shooter that get hot knocking down several in a row from the corner. The effectiveness of the 3 from the corner made a difference in opening up the lane.     An flat out athlete that can jump out of the gym. Great timing of the jump and the ability to jump high Ka'Moriya was a shot blocking machine all weekend. One of those type players that comes flying from outside the paint to grab an offensive putback. Showed a nice mid range jump shot that kept the defense honest from backing off. Physical offensive player that used her size and the power dribble to gain inside position on the power move for the finish. The natural athletic ability that she plays with had people around me talking A 2027 playing up       Icelynn is a 5'11 power forward that has excellent footwork in the post. The footwork and patience she has in the low post allows her to read the defense and make the correct decision. A powerful drop step that gets the leg out in front to seal off the defender is almost unstoppable. A sweet up and under move showed that Icelynn spends time in the gym perfecting her moves. A nice over the shoulder move helped her shoot vs the taller post players The strength and physicalness she plays with on defense allowed her to defend against taller post players.     A strong skill set and athletic movement you could not tell that Amara was a 2028 playing up 2 grades. Definitely among the top of her class of 2028. Great size to play the power forward position but able to move on the outside like a big guard. Nice hands and high percentage of finishes around the paint area made her a inside force Saturday. Excellent job of working around the box out to gain offensive rebound for a put back. An incoming freshman that could make a impact on any program     Small forward that showed a nice mid range jump shot to go along with inside power moves. Excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor. Double Double potential every game. Quick hops allowed her to grab the offense rebound and pop right back up. An undersize small forward that guarded the much taller post with no issues at all. Effective defender on the second line of the press using her quickness to steal any long passes. JaLeeyah should be a player to keep an eye on.     Peyton can flat out score folks. She started out Saturday morning with the3 point shot knocking down several. When the defense ran her off the 3 point line she drove to the basket finishing with a layup. Nice size for a combo guard that can shoot and handle the ball. Moves on offense without the ball knowing teams will not help leaving a driving gap for a teammate. Good vision in reading the defense making several diagonal passes to an open player, Scrappy player on defense that makes things happen     N'Kiyah is listed as a forward but she really is a position less player meaning she just plays ball. Strong physical body that can play inside or outside. On defense she played according to match ups. One trip she was playing against the post next trip down she was lock down in a stance waiting for the ball handler at half court. Great patience in the pick and roll game waiting for it to develop. Ranked among the tops in her class with Power 5 offers     Smooth ball handling guard that has patience when dribbling looking to set up or just blow by the defender getting to the basket. Nice shot coming off the bounce in transition. Gets out and run on the break filling the backside for several transition layups. Long athletic guard that plays lock down defense in the press.
