2028 Watch List: S-Z

Our scouts have evaluated the 2028 class during Grassroots tournaments, elite camps, team camps, and Summer leagues. Of the 2028 prospects seen by our scouts in person, we felt 32 names had a strong case to be considered top 25 in their class. Only prospects observed by our scouts in person were considered for the Watch List.   A Watch List is not a Ranking, all players are listed alphabetically. [player_tooltip player_id='800599' first='Kenley' last='Slanger']-5-8-PG-Lansing Catholic-[program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier']-Paiz   Kenley had an impressive Grassroots season this spring and has made an immediate impact with Lansing Catholic this summer. Kenley has poise handling the ball under pressure and beats defenders to score off the dribble. She knocks down shots beyond the arc and makes smart reads. Kenley has been top performer at many tourneys in front of our scouts during travel and HS competitions. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2024/07/the-bump-am-guard-standouts/">Read more about Kenley</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='932758' first='Evah' last='Smith']-5-11-PF-Flint Powers Catholic-Michigan Storm UA   Evah was an exciting forward prospect to watch during MS and Grassroots; she has quickly become a top prospect to see on Powers Catholic this summer. Evah is an athletic forward who competes with a high motor and relentless hustle on the court. She battles in the paint and is a relentless offensive rebounder. Evah scores through contact and attacks downhill off the dribble. She combines her quickness and ball-handling control to beat defenders off the dribble for points and assists. Paisley pressures opposing guards to create turnovers and finishes shots around the rim. She is an exciting two-way prospect to watch. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2024/05/memorial-day-shootout-crossover/">Read more about Paisley</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='934150' first='Ma'Lia' last='Taylor']-5-2-PG-Ferndale-UTS Queens   Ma'Lia has been one of the best on-ball defenders of her class during high school competitions this summer. She has defended the best scorer from elite programs and forced them to have an off-game. Ma'Lia moves very quickly laterally to cut off drives and give very little space. She attacks hard off the dribble and has shifty ball handling. Ma'Lia distributes the ball effectively from the lead guard spot. Mayrese stands out because of her determination and hard work. She pushed herself to the max at SAU Elite Camp during the stationary ball handling drills, with great control and speed. Mayrese has quick hands on defense to create steals and keeps herself in a balanced stance. She has the range to hit shots beyond the arc and beats defenders off the dribble to score on her drives.<a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2023/07/run-4-the-roses-statement-makers-part-4/"> Read more about Mayrese</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='933008' first='Raquel' last='Walker']-6-0-W-Reeths-Puffer-[program_tooltip program_id='712672' first='Michigan' last='Crossover EYBL']   [player_tooltip player_id='933008' first='Raquel' last='Walker'] is a high-flying athletic prospect who has caught our attention on the Grassroots circuit this spring. She handles the ball like a guard and beats defenders off the dribble, but has the length of a forward to block shots and matchup inside. Raquel flies down the court in transition after creating steals and elevates way up for her finishes. She will be an exciting player to watch this winter. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/2024/06/muskegon-shootout-standouts/">Read more about Raquel</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='933467' first='Nyah' last='Wright']-5-11-PF-East Lansing-Mystics Select   Nyah had a great spring on the travel circuit and has immediately stepped into a productive role with a talented East Lansing team this summer. She competes with a high motor on both ends of the court and sets the standard for hustle and effort. Nyah battles in the paint for rebounds and scores strong finishes off two inside. She faces up then drives hard off the dribble and has great potential. <a href="https://prepgirlshoops.com/player/nyah-wright/">Read more about Nyah</a>   [player_tooltip player_id='928228' first='Lucy' last='Wrozek']-5-6-CG-Jackson Lumen Christi-[program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier']-Willis   Lucy had a great Grassroots season with [program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier'] Willis and has immediately stepped into a lead role with Lumen Christi this summer. At SAU team camp, Lucy attacked off the dribble to score floaters and finishes at the rim; she showed her range to knock down 3s from beyond the arc. Lucy has a reputation for scoring off two feet extremely well in the paint, using great pivot footwork, and seeing the floor. Lucy uses her hands and quick feet to defend effectively and moves well without the ball.   [player_tooltip player_id='890718' first='Addison' last='Wypych']-5-6-PG-Rockford-[program_tooltip program_id='713024' first='Michigan' last='Drive Premier']-Paiz   Addison was one of the most impressive Michigan lead guards in this class during the Grassroots season, and she has shown her ability to contribute for Rockford against elite high school teams this summer. Addison has a burst off the bounce to beat defenders and she effectively finishes with either hand at the rim. Addison is a deadly shooter from beyond the arc and uses great footwork to score in traffic. She has continued to shine with Troy's Varsity program this summer. Maci has the length of a forward and handles the ball like a guard. She pushes the ball in transition, drives hard to the basket, and creates space with crossover dribbles.
