Showing out in front of nearly every major D1 coach in America, these hoopers brought a little bit of Texas flair to South Carolina and made a statement in the final weekend of July. I had a front row seat to the action with my head on a constant swivel, filling my notebook with evals.

[player_tooltip player_id='846238' first='Lauren' last='Hull'] | CyFair

The rising sophomore was an absolute firecracker with the ball in her hands. She turned on the jets and beat everyone downhill on the fast break, finishing at the basket time and time again. She made it tough for defenders to stop her from slicing through the lane. Fearless dribble penetration from the top of the key; found the angle over defenders. Very bouncy player.

[player_tooltip player_id='839900' first='Addison' last='Martin'] | CyFair

Don't let her size fool you! At 5'5", this girl showed off some BIG TIME guard play! She was a bullet in transition, leading with her body on the drive and finishing through contact. She played with toughness and her will to win was undeniable. She did a superb job creating with her off-hand and keep the defense on their toes. Very unpredictable; smart decision-maker with the rock.

[player_tooltip player_id='1223754' first='Brooklyn' last='Smith'] | CyFair

Her defense stood out to me in a major way. Super disruptive up at the perimeter. Scrappy ball pressure turned opponents over and ignited the fast break charge. There's a lot of craftiness in her finish at the rim, showing off a nifty layup package. So much swagger on the court!

[player_tooltip player_id='809939' first='Jemini' last='Mitchell'] | CyFair

At 6'2", she commands the floor at multiple positions. Her versatility was on full display; strong handles, blistering speed, tremendous length, inside-out scoring and big-time rebounding. Fearless on the attack, she isn't afraid to take it to the rim, regardless of who is lurking underneath. The times she missed, she went up and got her own rebound for a strong put-back under pressure. Sizzling spot-up shooter who impressed behind the arc. Her confidence really set her game apart from so many players I saw this weekend.

KP put on some remarkable performances that proved exactly why she's a nationally ranked hooper. Efficient 3-point shooting whose length and quick release made it nearly impossible for defenders to close out on. One of the silkiest jumpers I got eyes on, she was clutch pulling up from the mid-range. She didn't just dazzle on offense either! The two-way game was surely clicking, using her length to deflect passes, block shots and force opponents to give up the ball. Her skill-set is so complete, but her ceiling is still incredibly high!

[player_tooltip player_id='510471' first='Amayah' last='Garcia'] | [program_tooltip program_id='712934' first='Team' last='Lex']

She should really be sponsored by Duracell or Energizer, because this girl's battery just does NOT drain! Probably the highest motor in Rock Hill, she maintained the same level of energy from the first whistle to the last. She weaved through the defense while keeping the ball on a string, ready to create space to get off a good shot or penetrate and kick-out to the perimeter. Masterful from the mid-range. Strong defensive effort with in-your-face pressure and quick to shut off lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='486445' first='Salena' last='Carrasco'] | [program_tooltip program_id='712934' first='Team' last='Lex']

Physically strong, hard-nosed guard with a knack for getting to the basket at will. Impressive fighting through contact and laying it in for two. Embraced the physicality of the game and thrived every step of the way. Smooth with the ball in her hands; played with pace but didn't get way out of control or too far ahead of herself. She kept the dribble alive through pressure and showed tremendous control. Not overly flashy, but very efficient! Phenomenal job dishing out dimes and showing off that elite court vision she's well known for!

[player_tooltip player_id='331953' first='Bella' last='Edwards'] | Team Kent State

Her length made all the difference in her ability to elevate over defenders in the paint and rebound the ball from the guard spot. I loved the way she worked the defense and distributed the ball around the perimeter and into the post. Strong ball movement; well-timed passes. Smart to reposition herself around the arc and prep for the catch-and-shoot 3. Undeniable hustler and just flat-out hard-worker.

[player_tooltip player_id='514846' first='Mecailin' last='Marshall'] | Team Norfolk State

Super scrappy defender who locked down the perimeter and forced a multitude of turnovers. She was the star of the show in so many games she played because of her intensity and relentless, workhorse mentality. Never once took a play off in any game I watched! She alternated between the guard and wing spots, bringing the ball up the floor, spotting up around the perimeter to deliver off the catch and attack from the wing ferociously. D1 lock!

[player_tooltip player_id='510466' first='Rieyan' last='Desouze'] | Team Marshall

We all know the damage Rieyan can do offensively...and that she did! ...but I want to take this time to talk about her RIDICULOUS defense this weekend. She put the clamps and locked down in the most impressive way. I don't think I saw her get beat off the bounce, not once! She defends 94 feet and defends it with intensity and laser focus, never once keeping her eye off the prize. Nobody was able to blow by her and carve paths to the hoop or create space. Low stance, swift lateral movement and pesky pressure. A master class in playing both sides of the ball with tenacity and grit.
