The final Prep Girls Hoops rankings for the Kansas Class of 2025 rankings were published moments ago.

This class has 230 ranked athletes, 25 new athletes, and more than 50 athletes committed to playing college basketball.

This will be the last time that the rankings change. Scouts will continue to update player profiles for athletes who commit later this spring, but the ebb and flow of the rankings process has concluded.

This is the third installment of "Deck's Favorite Signings" for the Prep Network family of Kansas websites. I first started scouting in 2020 so these five athletes would have been playing basketball for their respective middle school and junior high schools.

I am not as close to this class as I am to the Prep Redzone and Prep Dig classes of 2025. I did not start scouting for Prep Girls Hoops until April 2023, and did not become lead scout until October 2024.

Yet these five athletes each have earned my admiration and stand out for one reason or another.

Stay tuned for more coverage of the Class of 2025 this week and tune in next month as the rankings for the classes of 2026-2028 will be updated.

I ran across the great Jackie Stiles during our high school years. Whenever I see a Kansas small-school prospect sign to play college ball, I reflect on Stile's career and remember why I still scout. Providing exposure for prospects from smaller schools is why I am in the business. Central Missouri is getting a steal of a player in Heim. If she played for a Kansas City or Wichita area team, she would have gotten more looks from Division I programs. This is an outstanding signing for the Jennies.

Meier is an interesting signing. I don't feel like I ever saw her best game. She was the scoring leader for multiple seasons for Hayden, but this season was able to take more of a backseat on a deep team. She still looked to score, but there were plenty of scoring options on the court for the Wildcats. She has long been committed to Bellevue University in Nebraska. I am not all that familiar with that school, but now that Meier is joining the roster, I will have a reason to follow the Bruins and learn more about the program.

I first saw Reed play volleyball early in her high school career. I have only seen videos of her game in the past couple of seasons, but she has evolved as an athlete and grown as a physical prospect. She is committed to Fort Hays State. The Tigers are coming off an excellent season and it's always refreshing when a local kid gets a chance to play in-state. Yes, I know St. John is 87 miles away from Hays, but that's still considered local in my books. Especially after my recent visit to Dodge City, Garden City, and Lakin, this past weekend.

Green made me want to pull my hair out every time I would check with her about her future. She is a two-sport star who has committed to play basketball and volleyball for Butler Community College. I am very happy and proud that she was able to find a program that would allow her to play both sports. She flirted with a Division I basketball program and a Division II volleyball program but has found her landing spot for at least one year, anyway, in El Dorado. Her athletic ability was never in question. Nor was her ability to dominate a basketball or volleyball game at the high school level. It says a lot about Green in that she was patient with her recruiting process, that is something missing from today's college recruiting process.

I did not know much about Martin and had never seen her play until this year's Class 5A State Tournament. I am super impressed that the Ottawa Braves have landed the Indians' star. She will have the chance to make a run at a ton of school records at Ottawa depending on if she stays there for an entire four years. I think she will have an immediate impact on that roster. The NAIA programs in Kansas often get overlooked, but the KCAC is a talented conference, and I think this will be a good fit for Martin and Ottawa. I feel like she could play at the Division II level. Her career will be a fun one to track.
