MICHIGAN STATE TOURNEY: 15U Saturday Standouts

We are proud to say that every team in attendance received Prep Girls Hoops Media Coverage with hundreds of live social media posts and dozens of Top Performer graphics throughout the day. She chased down offensive rebounds, created steals with her pesky pressure on defense, and swished a smooth corner triple. She jumped out of the gym to grab rebounds on both ends and pushed the ball full speed after a steal to score a strong layup off two feet. Logan showed off her perimeter range with three triples and created space from defenders using shifty crossover dribbles. She caught the ball in the corner, faked out a defender closing out by pointing her toes to the rim in shooting position, then buried a smooth wing triple with a confident step-back dribble. Joselyn jumped the passing lane for a steal and scored a floater off two feet. She had me on the edge of my seat with her playmaking abilities for [program_tooltip program_id='714456' first='MBSA' last='Hoyas'] 15U. Brianna was electric with her fast-paced drives, deep 3-point shots, and gritty toughness. Brianna had the ball on a string, changing directions with tight crossover dribbles the length of the floor, then scoring a full-speed layup. She buried a moonshot 3-pointer from the wing, finished a drop-step layup off the glass, and earned free throws after penetrating gaps with explosive drives downhill. Brianna converted free throws efficiently from the charity stripe and finished tough layups in traffic. She pressured the ball relentlessly on defense and turned steals into transition layups. She had a confident shot from beyond the arc, knocking down a pair of triples, and dished out assists on the money to open teammates. Ella came through in the clutch when it mattered most. With seconds to go, Ella swiped the ball away on defense, raced down the court in transition, and finished her layup through hard contact to tie the game at the buzzer! Her pesky defensive pressure was constant. Evi swiped the ball away in the backcourt, weaved through defenders using a quick crossover, and finished with a soft layup off the glass. She made a sweet transfer to her right hand to make a layup after a fast baseline drive, and shot out of a cannon to catch and finish a layup in top gear. Evi converted layups with balanced feet and a confident follow-through. She corralled a defensive board, jetted down the court, crossed over a defender to cause a foul at the rim, and buried both free throws. She was aggressive on both sides of the court. Charlei secured rebounds, forced fouls to earn free throws--knocked them down, and made a clutch steal after the opponent rebounded the ball late to secure a win. Mylee battled inside to secure rebounds and made a great jump pass over the defense to an open teammate. She used her length to deflect passes on the perimeter, raced in full speed to grab several offensive rebounds, and scored put-backs. Her 6-foot height stands out immediately, and she's going to be a front-court prospect to keep an eye on at Durand. Chloe drove hard downhill to score a layup, cut backdoor for a layup off two feet, and finished a strong and-one layup off two feet inside. She showed her confidence to pull the trigger outside with a smooth straightaway three-pointer off the hop.
