With the Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) instituting new transfer rules for all sports for the 2025-2026 school year, I think a lot of people expected a mass exodus of kids transferring from school to school. Instead, we've only come across a handful of changes, and below we've listed out what we expect to be the most impactful ones in Central and Southern Indiana.

"KeKe" is the first of three major transfers on this list to head to the Lady Bears this Summer. Holding plenty of Division I offers & interest, the athletic slasher has improved her offensive efficiency each year and looks to provide an attacking style of scoring punch to the LC offense. I still contend that she could move from being a good on-ball defender to an elite defender with her strength and athletic ability, and she does force her share of turnovers.

The second new member of the Lady Bears moves from the West Side of Indianapolis to the East Side. Aubri has spent the last couple of seasons helping the Ben Davis Giants in a variety of roles, including scoring, defending, and acting as the primary ball-handler, getting them into their offenses/sets. She is a really nice athlete with a wiry-strong frame, she is hard to stop going left, plus she gives a lot of effort defensively and attacking the boards.

Like Butler (above), Naja moves from State Champion Lawrence North to a new school. She will suit up now for the new-look Lady Panthers and could very well be a focal point of their offense as a Senior. Naja is a talented run-and-jump athlete, she defends & rebounds with some versatility, and she has shown a really nice mid-post game offensively. Her perimeter shot and handle have improved, but she's still most dominant inside of 15-feet.

Another set of Lady Panthers welcome Tatum to B-Town, as she follows her family to Hoosier land. South has really nice talent, size, and length throughout their roster, but her ability to bury open jumpers, and with range, should definitely be an asset to their slashers and front-liners. Tatum plays with a really nice basketball savvy, plus she's much tougher than her long & wiry frame might suggest. Look for her to be a nice offensive addition.

Last Fall, Kendra flashed a great deal of potential at our PGH Freshman Showcase as a Fishers rookie. She has an athletic frame, nice length, and she moves around the floor very well for her age/size. She continues to improve skillfully each time I see her, and she should help a Marauder program that doesn't return a Varsity regular over 5-10. Look for Kendra to add immediate post defense and rebounding to a guard-heavy program in 2025-2026.

The final newbie to the Lady Bear lineup, Riley will help alleviate a lot of pressure on the others with her ability to handle the ball, run offense, and consistently bury open rhythm jumpers from the perimeter. She has gotten strong enough to absorb contact well when attacking, and she is starting to defend with more physicality. Her advanced skillset at her age has earned her quite a bit of attention from a number of mid to high Division I programs.
