Transfers can make or break a team and even a program. They have the capability to turn a good team into a championship team. Transfers can also turn a dynasty program into a bottom feeder. It can be one player or a group of players but transfers almost always have an impact whether positively or negatively. Players are usually seeking greener pastures some finding out that the greener grass can have a lot of weeds and brown patches the closer you get. Here are some transfers that will definitely change the scope of basketball in the DMV.

Last season Seton had one of the most complete teams and one of the leagues top shooters which they lost to graduation. In bringing in "Lala" they replace the loss with another sharpshooter that can also play the point as well. The Roadrunners will need to paly solid defense and score over 50 points per game if they really want to compete for a title, she can be a game changer for them if they take the safety off and let her cook. She has the capability to be the team leader in both scoring and assists.

Nevaeh had a solid summer and you can see that her confidence has grown tremendously. She will join her sister on the trek south to Florida. Huge loss for the Mustangs as she was on the leading candidate for Junior of the Year in Maryland. IMG Academy gains a long athletic wing that can shoot the three and defend five positions.

Bullis had a huge loss with Mackenzie's transfer, but with the gains of Mya and Taylor they may have improved from last years nationally ranked team. Mya brings disruptive length to bolster the defensive end. She runs the floor like a track star and attacks the basket well. Practicing against all-American level talent will only make her better. This will be an exciting year for the Bulldogs and I can't wait to see how all of the talent gels together.

Laila had a huge bump up this summer and is set to make waves at St. Timothy's. She has good height and moves well in the open court. She is comfortable facing up or with her back to the basket and it's certain that she will be used a variety of ways in half court sets. She had a good run at the Family Reunion Showcase, I'm expecting it to continue through her high school SEASON.

Taylor's entry to Bullis is causing a shake up and has put Sidwell's lockdown on the IAC throne in jeopardy. She is super quick and her range extends well past the three point line. Her passing is exceptional and she will release her shot without conscious. There are several potential matchups that I'm highlighting once the dates are announced.
