We have a few more articles left in the month, and I'd like to continue highlighting some players I haven't for a while. Next month, I should have some new content ready, including a few preview articles for high school programs. If any other program is interested in season preview articles, feel free to reach out to me directly, and we can work on the details of how we'll organize it.

The Madison native plays at a small school in the Madison area, and had an excellent first season of high school basketball. Gary led her Madison Country Day team to a Regional Title in her first season, and had a solid AAU season with Let it Rain. She displayed her capabilities on the offensive end of the floor and had some games where she was explosive offensively. Gary will be an intriguing player to follow while she plays small-school basketball.

[player_tooltip player_id='915858' first='Taccarri' last='Hicks']

The Case guard is an offensive-minded player who can score in bunches. Hicks is an aggressive downhill player who wants to get to the basket whenever possible. Her relentlessness will force defenses into foul trouble because of the number of times Hicks finds ways to draw contact around the basket. Hicks may not play on a premier program in the state, but she has been a standout in the Southeast Conference and is a player who coaches should watch next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217182' first='Bailey' last='Nelson']

The Monona Grove guard impressed me this past AAU season. She was a player who took a step forward during the last few months of the summer season. Nelson looked more forceful with the ball in her hands and made plays getting to the basket and finishing around the basket. Like her sisters, Nelson is a hard-nosed player who flies around the floor and can make plays on the ball on the defensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id='751271' first='Madilyn' last='Davel']

The Neillsville guard plays on one of the most dominant programs in Central Wisconsin. I can't recall the last time the Warriors were not among the top programs in the Cloverbelt-East, or didn't win the conference title. Davel has shown that she can look to score the ball and create with the ball in her hands or generate open looks for her teammates. She is a player who has proven a lot in her two seasons as a Warrior. Davel is an intriguing talent.
