EVALUATIONS: Team 2 at The Expo

One of the better scorers at the event. Looked smoother and more in control with her handles, ball fakes, gathers and overall finishing touch. Can hit "shake and bakes" to blow by defenders in the halfcourt, and then finish strongly at the rim. Does a really good job of blending the flash of skills with being gritty by crashing the glass. And getting her hands up on defense, even with the timing to block shots. Great decision making in transition. Oklahoma's sophomore class is loaded and Spencer is further proof of that.     Woodard first caught the eye during 3 on 3 play with sensational shooting, including range that extends to the college line. In 5 on on 5, she showed more of her handles and well rounded play. Deer Creek looks set to shake up Class 6A by returning a lot of their talented core. And Woodard should be a key part of any success this winter, especially if she can be a knockdown shooter.     Combo guard, with solid offensive skills. Was comfortable with a good crossover to get downhill and hit floaters. Or making smart passes to teammates. As a shooter, she got it going in the mid-range a bit. Including a nice pick and pop movement.     Versatile guard, who was a solid looking athlete last Saturday. Plays fast but comes to good two foot stops. Expected to play a bigger role in her junior season for last year's Class 2A runner ups.       A grinder type of a player, Naifeh was consistently one of the better prospects when it came to motor and playing strong. She battled strongly for position on rebounds. While also playing fundamentally strong on defense, moving her feet and using verticality principles to contest shots without fouling. Has wing skills on the offensive end, with solid handles when pushing in transition or even as a slasher in the halfcourt. Where she was good at drawing fouls on drives.     Belk is a connector on the offensive end. Sees and process the floor quick with touch passes and other quick decisions to find teammates. Generally was an unselfish prospect. Found some spots to score, including a nice putback for a smaller guard. And the occasional three pointer. Type of prospect who excels at making the little things add up to a big impact.     Decoster is a strong rebounder and applies that smart aggression to all aspects of her defensive game. Mobile enough to step out and deny on the perimeter. While also strong enough to anchor and then jump in front to deny post entry passes. Her offensive contribution often involved her cleaning up around the rim. But she did have a nice entry pass to a cutting teammate from the wing. Could be a sign of her being able to develop a potential high-low connection with her Owasso teammates.       A promising 918 long range specialist. Unfortunately for Darden, an injury cut her day short. Look forward to keeping track of her for Jenks this winter.
