Karrington gave Team 4 a boost with her high energy at the Freshman Showcase. She pushed the tempo in transition and attacked downhill with hard drives to cause fouls. Karrington drove into a jump stop, used a counter pivot, and finished a tough, contested floater. She made the effort plays, diving on the floor for 50/50 balls, and pursued offensive rebounds.

Justus energized Team 4 with her relentless effort on both ends of the court at the Freshman Showcase. She chased down a breakaway going full-speed to cause a travel and set the standard for transition defense by her hustle. Justus worked hard to pressure perimeter ball-handlers, creating deflections and gave teammates open looks by throwing strong skip passes. She grabbed an offensive rebound and finished with a smooth reverse. Justus shot the ball with confidence off the hop and dove to secure a loose ball.

Gabrielle was an athletic guard who made an impact with her versatility for Team 4 at the Freshman Showcase. She attacked gaps with speed, generated steals, created space using shifty inside-out dribbles, and split defenders with a burst to score a layup. Gabrielle dished out a good bounce pass entry into the post. She created transition scoring opportunities by pushing the ball with both hands in transition after securing defensive rebounds. Gabrielle showed her strength by finishing a powerful and-one layup off two feet after an effective pivot move. She muscled into position to secure two offensive rebounds and finished the put-back.

Emersyn is a shifty point guard with speed who had some eye-popping finishes at the Freshman Showcase for Team 4. She changed lanes with a quick crossover, blew by with a burst, and finished the tough and-one layup with a high arc. Emersyn split defenders again with a crossover to score a full-speed stretch layup with her left and added another drive-by layup. She pushed the ball up the court using both hands after securing rebounds, dished out assists, and caused a jump ball on the defensive end. Emersyn showed her quick hands, stealing the ball, and then turned on the afterburners to score a left-handed layup in transition.

Lorigrace was an all-around difference maker for Team 4 at the Freshman Showcase, and she earned Top Performer honors as a result. Lorigrace is a compact guard with muscular development and a robust stature beyond her years. She set the standard for talk and communication on the court. Lorigrace kept her balance on hard drives to the basket, using effective two foot finishes, and earned several trips to the free throw line. She swished free throws with a confident follow through, took the ball hard downhill off the dribble, and converted layups with strength. Lorigrace used a sweet high-rip move and threw a perfect entry pass. She worked hard on defense and maintained a textbook athletic stance. Lorigrace drained a wing three, chased down rebounds on both ends, demonstrated off-ball IQ, and fired passes up the court on a rope.

Journey had an impressive day for Team 4 at the Freshman Showcase and earned recognition as a Top Performer. Her length, athleticism, vision, two-way game, and dynamic skills stand out as a guard prospect. Journey buried a corner three and handled the ball confidently with both hands. She showed great awareness on the defensive end, anticipating a euro-step move to block the shot attempt and wasn't fooled by crossover dribbles. Journey was an explosive downhill scorer. She changed hands with a quick crossover to score a layup and split gaps to score many on the day. Journey used inside-out dribbles to create a driving lane, maintained her balance with wide feet, and scored the two-feet finish with a soft touch off the glass. Journey was an excellent facilitator and decision-maker. She dished a great wrap-around entry pass, threaded the needle with a left handed bounce pass assist in transition, and delivered a dump off to an open teammate on her drive. Journey was an active rebounder, scored put-backs, and split a trap in the back court after swiping the ball.

Avery had length, versatility, and skills that made an impact for Team 4 at the Freshman Showcase. She used effective crossover dribbles to create separation and covered ground in a hurry as she glided to the basket with long strides. Avery finished with her left-hand off two feet, blocked a shot, and buried free throws with confidence at the line after causing fouls. She secured an offensive and dropped in a floater. Avery anticipated a pass to grab a steal on defense and had a smooth pull-up game. She buried corner jumper and showed her perimeter range with a pure corner three.

Malyiah is a point/combo guard prospect who immediately impressed me immediately with her athleticism, length, handles, court vision, and passing instincts at the Freshman Showcase. She had the ball on a string and changed directions confidently with both hands, while scanning the floor. Malyiah has college range from beyond the arc. She drained a deep triple from the slot and added a straightaway volleyball line bomb off the dribble. Malyiah used her long arms to block multiple shots on the defensive end and jumped into the passing lane for a swipe and score. She attacked middle on a drive, landed under control, and pivoted to bury the free throw jumper. I noted that Malyiah was a great distributor and her entry passes resulted in several assists. She finished transition layups with ease and turned in a complete performance for Team 4 that earned her recognition as a Top Performer.

Angel was one of the best forward prospects in the gym at the Freshman Showcase. Her length, athleticism, mobility, and abilities reminded me of Dania McClain, one of my favorite forward prospects from Michigan's 2025 class, who is now at Robert Morris. Angel dominated the paint as a rim protector, rebounder, and finisher for Team 4. Nobody could box her out, and she scored offensive rebound put-backs at will. Angel caught entry passes with soft hands and finished efficiently at the doorstep. She showed her ability to step outside by draining a wing three off the bounce and backed down her defender to score a bunny off two. Angel moved her feet constantly to seal defenders, relocate, and present a target for entry passes. She anticipated passes to create steals and showed great sportsmanship after a ferocious block by helping up her opponent. Angel completely dominated and earned recognition as a Top Performer.
