Prep Girls Hoops: Indiana 2029 More From Freshman Showcase Team 1

This past weekend, the Noblesville Boys and Girls Club hosted the PGH Freshman Showcase, bringing together some of the top talent from Indiana's class of 2029. The event provided a great stage for young players to display their skills, compete at a high level, and gain valuable experience against other rising prospects from across the state.   The format featured both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 competition, giving athletes the chance to show their versatility in different game settings. From skillful guard play to strong finishes around the basket, the showcase was filled with standout moments and emerging talent.    [player_tooltip player_id='1263941' first='Ava' last='Emberton'] showed poise and confidence running the point. She displayed her ability to create scoring opportunities not only for herself knocking down shots from beyond the arc and attacking defenders off the dribble, but also for her teammates with sharp passing and floor vision. Beyond her skill set, Emberton impressed with her communication on and off the court and her encouragement of teammates in both the 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 sessions. Her leadership qualities and versatility make her a promising addition to the Brownsburg program.     Another impressive performer was [player_tooltip player_id='1267070' first='Lillian' last='Clark'] from Westfield. Clark plays with relentless energy on both ends of the floor and has the makings of being one of the best guards in her class. She demonstrated her ability to score at all three levels, combining a smooth perimeter shot with the quickness to attack the rim. Just as important, she showed strong defensive instincts and the speed to keep opponents in check. Clark's competitiveness and all-around skill set position her to be a major impact player for Westfield over the next four years.     [player_tooltip player_id='1274276' first='Sophia' last='Buening'] also turned heads with her strong play during the 5-on-5 session. A poised freshman guard, Buening made an impact with her ability to read the game as it developed, making smart decisions on both ends of the floor. She showed excellent court vision, anticipating plays before they happened, and used her strength and composure to stay effective under pressure. Buening looks primed to bring valuable contributions to the Greensburg program in the years ahead.     Westfield will also be adding another promising guard to its 2029 class in [player_tooltip player_id='1264921' first='Kylie' last='Wyatt']. Over the weekend, Wyatt made her presence felt with her high-level communication and relentless defensive effort. She excelled at fighting through ball screens, using her quick feet and active hands to disrupt opposing offenses. What makes her especially effective is the energy she brings every possession. On top of her defensive ability, Wyatt showed she can knock down shots, particularly from the corners, making her a valuable two-way player for the Shamrocks.     At 5'10”, Hall displayed great versatility and activity on both ends of the floor. She showed her ability to knock down shots, run the floor effectively in transition—whether with or without the ball—and attack the rim with confidence. Her size allows her to see over defenders and make sharp passes, adding another layer to her game. Hall's blend of skill, vision, and versatility will bring a bright spark to the Perry Meridian program.     Bayleigh Eisle brings a strong all-around game to the floor. She is an unselfish player who excels at setting up her teammates and keeping the offense flowing. Offensively, she is capable of scoring from the perimeter as well as inside the arc, giving her versatility as a scorer. Eisle rebounds well from her position, using her physicality to gain an edge. Defensively, she is active, quick, and reliable, able to match up effectively across different spots. She projects as a key addition for the Huskies this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='1308406' first='Kinsley' last='Hollowell'] is a fierce, physical guard with a smooth shooting stroke. In 5-on-5 play, she consistently attacked the rim, finishing with confidence and strength, while also showcasing excellent court vision to find her teammates in the right spots. She can stretch the floor with her ability to knock down shots from 15 feet, making her a versatile offensive threat. Entering her freshman year at Salem, Kinsley is ready to make an immediate impact and be a key contributor for the team.     Williams is a skilled and versatile post player who knows how to make an impact both on and off the ball. She moves exceptionally well without the ball, finding the right spots in the low and high post while making sharp cuts to the basket. Her height and court awareness allow her to cover a lot of ground, making her effective on both ends of the floor. Though she competes behind strong players at Homestead, Malia is a talented freshman who should be on the radar of anyone following top prospects in the state.     Hollowell impressed during the 5-on-5 competition with her activity on both ends of the floor. She showed the ability to get to the rim and knock down shots from outside, making her a scoring threat in multiple ways. On defense, she reads the game well, blocks shots, and stays in front of her opponents. At her height, she handles the basketball effectively and displayed creative moves in the low post, showing versatility across the court. Hollowell will be a strong addition to the Lady Bears program as she begins her freshman year.     Rounding out Team 1 is Jones, a player who competes with relentless effort and exemplifies true teamwork on the floor. At 5'10”, she excels at running the floor and finding scoring opportunities, showing impressive court awareness. Defensively, she covers a lot of ground and stays active in disrupting opponents. As she continues to develop, Jones has the potential to become a significant contributor for the Monrovia girls basketball program.
