5 - Sheyenne Mustangs

The Mustangs will have a new look on the sideline with the hiring of new head coach Morgan Milbreth. She takes over after a successful run led by Kenyon Wingenbach who resigned to take a college assistant coaching position. Milbreth has been a part of the staff for many years and it looks like it should be a seamless transition. She brings back a ton of talented players and her squad could sneak into the state tournament in 2025-2026. [player_tooltip player_id='1090529' first='Evie' last='Sevald'] and [player_tooltip player_id='658263' first='Zoe' last='Keene'] are two returning All-Conference players. These two guards can handle the rock and have great vision with their passing. [player_tooltip player_id='641206' first='Callen' last='Fosher'] is an underrated forward with All-Conference talent. She is a 6' post who can run the floor hard and has a nice touch around the rim. She can defend guards or posts and is a positive leader on the team. [player_tooltip player_id='782583' first='Kenzie' last='Wuo'] is an ultra athletic guard who will be a terrific defender and a great role player. I am interested in watching how Milbreth will put her touch on the program.

6 - Fargo South Bruins

I am predicting South will have their best season in the last decade or more in 2025-2026. Trevor Olson has done a really good job of creating a culture of hard work and positivity. The Bruins always have an energetic bench and they seem to really enjoy basketball. [player_tooltip player_id='629949' first='Talyn' last='Hoffert'] is an All-Conference returning guard. She is a powerful 5'11 guard who plays with tremendous conviction. [player_tooltip player_id='629948' first='Tameka' last='Limvere'] is a very talented guard who has received a lot of college interest after having a very nice AAU season. She is a long guard who is a great athlete. She has a college guard frame and a desire to be great. These two seniors will lead their squad forward and be the main two pieces for their team. Center Elsie Baker is a big body that can anchor their defense and rebounding. She has signed to play college hoops at Hamline University. [player_tooltip player_id='1091366' first='Sophie' last='Carriveau'] is a feisty point guard who plays with great effort. The Bruins have more talent on this squad than many of their recent teams and are geared up for a great season in 25-26.
