The start of the 2025-26 basketball season continues to draw closer…and closer…and closer.

For many a senior going into their final campaign sporting their high school colors, this is the perfect time to make a commitment announcement. That way it is not one more thing weighing on them as they go through the ups and downs of the ensuing months of basketball.

It has been about two weeks since our last update on who is offering who – and as one could expect there continues to be plenty of activity on the Palmetto State's recruiting trail. Here is our latest on said activity.

McIlwain has decided to remain in state. Following her final season at the high school ranks with 5A Division 1 Clover, she will spend her collegiate days at North Greenville University. Prior to McIlwain sporting the black and red of the Trailblazers and being under the tutelage of coach Lakeisha Brown, McIlwain has plenty to look forward to this season with coach Shakkia Walker and her Blue Eagles. Last season, McIlwain played in 25 games last season for Clover and much of its veteran core that powered the Blue Eagles – including her – to a 23-3 record is returning for a Blue Eagles team that once again has state aspirations in 5A Division 1 play.

Once the 2025-26 season concludes, Haggard will put her full focus on softball as she announced her commitment to East Tennessee State late last month. Before she becomes a Buccaneer she has her final season with the basketball program at 5A Division 2 Chapin on the brains – a team that will have former Denmark-Olar coach Terence Jones at the helm in his first season with the Eagles. Haggard was one of three Chapin team captains last season and averaged nearly a double-double of 10.3 points and nine rebounds plus just over a steal and a block per contest in the 28 games she played.

One would expect a prospect as highly touted as Hartwell to continue to receive Division I looks. Her two latest offers come from schools that have earned plenty of respect in the NCAA women's basketball realm. One of those came from Rutgers and the other came from Iowa. Hartwell's presence is putting her 4A Westside team on the national stage – the Rams recently received an invite to the She Got Game Classic in early December in Dallas. After running on the Under Armour circuit with FBC United We Trust, Hartwell looks ahead to 2025-26 with a Rams team that will be a 4A state favorite among many a pundit. She averaged a double-double of 15.2 points and 10.5 rebounds plus 2.5 steals last season for Westside.

Speaking of Division I prospects from 4A state powers, Lucas is always present in that chat. Lucas' latest collegiate offer was of the in-state variety from College of Charleston and coach Robin Harmony. She holds several Division I offers and recently added flag football to her athletic resume. Furman, Elon, North Carolina A&T, SC State and Winthrop all offered her as well. Lucas also was on the Under Armour circuit with FBC United The Family. Last season, for a South Pointe team that finished with a 29-1 record, she averaged 20.8 points, 4.7 steals, 4.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds – as a freshman.

Oliver's recruitment continues to be active as both she and her twin sister prepare to embark on their senior seasons. She recently secured an in-state get courtesy of Spartanburg Methodist and head coach Reid Walling. Oliver is coming off her final AAU season with FBC Next Up SC Lady Wolves and her 5A Division 2 Greenwood team should certainly contend once again. The Eagles last season were 5A Division 2 Upper State champions in large part because of Oliver's heroics. She averaged 21.5 points, five steals, 4.9 rebounds and 3.6 assists in the 28 games she played wearing Greenwood black and gold.

Coach Reid Walling and Spartanburg Methodist extended an offer to both Oliver twin sisters. She too is returning to Greenwood for her senior season. Oliver and the rest of her Eagles will be competing throughout the 2025-26 season with an “unfinished business” mindset following its 5A Division 2 Upper State championship (and 18-10 record) from the 2024-25 campaign. She also played on the club circuit over the spring and summer with FBC Next Up SC Lady Wolves. Oliver sported Greenwood's black and gold on all 28 occasions last season and averaged 9.2 points, 4.6 assists, four rebounds and 3.5 steals.

One would be hard-pressed to find a prospect across the Palmetto State who has experienced more of an uptick in their recruiting the past few weeks more than Powell. Recently, she secured offers from Converse, Randolph Macon, Lynchburg and Bridgewater. Powell played her final AAU season with SC Sixers already won a state championship in the 4A realm with Riverside. She made the cross-state move to a North Myrtle Beach team that advanced to the 5A Division 2 Lower State championship in 2024-25. Powell played in 28 games last season for the Warriors and averaged a double-double of 11.8 points and 10 rebounds plus 2.3 steals a contest.

Gray provides a veteran presence for a Berkeley team that prevailed against all other 5A Division 2 comers for the state championship last season. Spartanburg Methodist and coach Reid Walling has extended an offer in Gray's direction. Grassroots ball is in the rear view mirror for Gray as her final season was with [program_tooltip program_id='713840' first='Charleston' last='Raptors']. Gray competed in 26 games in 2024-25 for the Stags. She averaged 7.6 points and 1.7 steals last season. Following last season's successful campaign, coach Crystal Peace's team poses a solid threat to be in the same position at the conclusion of 2025-26 in large part because of Gray's play.

The latest program to extend an offer in the direction of this talented frontcourt force for 1A North was USC-Salkehatchie. Williams adds that offer to previous ones she received from Denmark Tech, Voorhees and University of Virgin Islands. After playing her final season of travel ball with FBC Next Up SC Lady Wolves on the NE2K circuit, Williams adds a formidable interior presence for an Eagles team that advanced to last season's 1A Upper State championship game. She transfers to North from 5A Division 1 Sumter and played in 20 games in what was her final season for the Gamecocks.
