Thursday's scrimmage between Paul VI @ Pallotti felt like a heavyweight fight. Conference titles seemed to be on the line, and it's not Thanksgiving yet. The parent section reminded the refs of each call they missed. The support from Pallotti's student section and football team helped propel their decisive fourth-quarter surge.

Logan left everything on the court tonight. In 25 minutes as the primary point guard, she disrupted the defense with six forced turnovers. Facilitated efficiently with four assists to one turnover. She also added three rebounds and a block. Her leadership carried the team down the stretch, showing a deep understanding of the responsibilities of a traditional point guard.

Jordan is a total player every coach would want on their roster. With a D1/D2 frame and the versatility to play shooting guard or upfront, she combines size and skill seamlessly. Her LeBron-like ability allows her to grab rebounds, lead the break, and finish at the rim. She elevated her game during Pallotti's second-half run, scoring at all levels to finish with 12 points and knocking down two key three-pointers. Jordan's performance signals a rise in the rankings is well-deserved.

Paul VI (WCAC) a perennial powerhouse were lead by senior and Brown commit, Sravya Janapati and junior Lyla Ames.

Sravya showed her versatility Thursday as a combo guard. She possessed good poise as Paul IV's point guard as she handled the pressure. Her size makes it difficult for any defender. Sravya has great court vision, as she managed to breakdown the defense at times to find her teammates. I'd suggest defenders not to go under the ball screen when guarding Sravya. She can and will pull it from deep.

What stood out most was Lyla's ball handling. Against full-court pressure, she displayed a variety of moves rarely seen from a player of her size. Her combination of size and skill allows her to contribute both in the frontcourt and backcourt. Thursday, she hit a huge three to keep Paul VI in the game. Defensively, she held her own, showing balanced footwork on the perimeter. Lyla is a player to watch in the W.C.AC.

Reagan made the most of her playing time. In the first half, she showcased her handles. She penetrated the defense with ease. She found her post player with a clean dime for an effortless finish. In the second half, she injected energy. This gave Pallotti momentum during their run. She confidently stepped into a much-needed three. Her early play making and late-game shot making highlighted the composure she's developing in high-pressure moments. Defensively, Reagan used her size effectively, creating a turnover and staying disciplined below her opponents to disrupt their offensive flow. A freshman contributing at the varsity level for Pallotti clearly deserves recognition in the rankings.
