January in Oklahoma is known as the January grind. It is the month that you can make or break your playoff seedings head into February. In Class 6a it can come down to who wins their home games and steals couple on the road. Let's look at District 2

Edmond North 4-0 District 8-1 Overall Edmond North looked like a state tournament contender this past weekend at Bank 7 Mustang Classic. Well balanced team that has nice guards play and strong inside game at the post. Lady Huskies have a big home game on Jan 13 that could give them sole possession of first place in district. Edmond North will be battle tested towards end of January with a tough tournament schedule. Players to Watch: [player_tooltip player_id='578026' first='Johari' last='Hall'] is a key player on both ends of the floor for the Lady Huskies. Hall has committed to Lafayette College. Gracie Jackson outstanding shooting guard that can handle the ball. Signed with University of Kearney Nebraska. [player_tooltip player_id='936038' first='Alex' last='Bednar'] that is having a breakout season with scoring and playing the PG position [player_tooltip player_id='935136' first='Kinzie' last='Hazzard'] at the forward spot gives them a nice 4-5 punch inside. Freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1235405' first='Karyss' last='Williams'] has been a great surprise at the guard position.

Key Dates: Jan 13 Sapulpa Jan 16 Deer Creek Jan 27 @ Piedmont

Sapulpa 3-0 District 7-2 Overall Sapulpa has 2 big districts games back-to-back with a tough Lincoln Christian Tournament squeezed in-between.
