Rankings Analysis: 2027 Point Guards

Ranked as the #1 PG in the 2027 class Mungo is averaging 11 pts, 5 assists and 4 steals on a solid Camden team. Braylin is very good in the open court with strong finishes or making reads on when to dish the ball to open teammates. She is a play maker on offense and a solid defender that can wreak havoc on the defensive end.     An all-around point guard with impressive stats. Birch has led her team to the state playoffs once again. Maliyah can score from deep or she can get downhill to the rim. She does a nice job of creating shots off the dribble and pass for her teammates. She is also quick and sneaky on the defensive end creating steals.     A tough nosed point guard that makes everyone around her better. Evie sees the floor really well and is strong enough to deliver long ball passes in the open court. In the half court setting she creates well off the dribble and is able to set her teammates up or create her own shot. Her strength getting to the rim is one of her biggest attributes. She can also knock threes down when her feet or set in the half court or off the bounce.     A scoring point guard that has multiple tools in her bag to find ways to score. She gets points from three-point shots, jumpers, layups and free throws. Hailstock does what she can to try to keep her team in games. Defensively, she uses her quickness to get the opponent in front of her and away from the basket.     Gabby is a solid guard for a talented Frist Baptist team. Her high school team has advanced to the semi playoffs of the Independent School league. She has a lot to do with the success because she is the floor general. She decides what tempo they are going to play each possession. Gabby facilitates the team and how they are going to score by creating her shots, making plays for her shooters or getting the ball inside to her paint players. She uses her IQ and ball handling to her advantage.     Abby plays the point guard position exactly how it should be played. She is an elite passer that has a knack of knowing where the ball should go on every possession. She can throw a deep ball in transition or make a bullet pass in the open court. In the half court she has no look passes, excellent back door looks and simple penetrate and pitch passes. Her midrange jumper is high level and she elevates quick and high off the bounce. Defensively, she is a menace always hounding the ball handler.     Quicker than quick point guard that can facilitate and score the ball. She does a great job of creating and being a play maker for her team. Her midrange game is almost flawless with the ability to stop and pop up over defenders. She also has a nice tear drop floater that she mixes in and is able to finish through contact slashing to the rim. Makayla is all over the floor on the defensive end also coming up with winning plays.     A guard that just keeps getting better. She is smooth with the ball in her hands. She can stop and drill a three beyond the arc in transition. She is able to make a step back move in the flow of the half-court offense. Morrow also has a nice floater that creates a lot of points. When she drives to the free throw line and gets fouled, she does a nice job of making free throws.     Scarlett is getting back to her old self after having some time off after an ankle injury. She loves to push the ball quickly up the floor and find her teammates for a quick transition bucket. She can also slow down the pace and facilitate in the half court when needed. Howell's biggest asset right now is her three-point shooting ability. She has a quick release and a nice stroke.
