The opening week of June not only represents a pause in the travel schedule as attention shifts from the AAU scene to high school team camp month. It also represents a time when prospects from the 2028 class can be directly contacted by college coaches.

The lion's share of attention on the recruiting scene may be placed on the 2027 class but there are a number of top-tier rising juniors that are on the radars of many a collegiate program as well.

For those that follow our coverage here at Prep Girls Hoops, it is well-established who the premier 2028s across South Carolina are. A number of them led their teams to state championship games last season. College coaches may also want to keep an eye on these 2028 names that are ascending into leadership roles for their respective teams as juniors.

Adams has paved the way to back-to-back 3A Upper State championship games for St. Joseph's Catholic and she looks to continue that success for the Knights as they transition to the 2A ranks. Adams has been running with AEBL Girlz this season on the travel circuit and recently secured a Division I offer from George Mason. She is one of the premier sharpshooters in the Palmetto State and has hooped at the varsity level since she was in the seventh grade. Adams would sport St. Josephs' Catholic's blue hue in all 27 games last season and averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.5 steals per game.

Teamwise, Reynolds may not have finished her 2025-26 season as planned as Wando was defeated by Blythewood in the 5A Division 1 state championship game at Colonial Life Arena. Individually, Reynolds finished with a flourish with a 19-point performance to lead her Warriors against the Bengals. Reynolds competed in 26 of Wando's 26 games last season while averaging 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and three steals per contest. Since high school play concluded, Reynolds has spent her spring months of grassroots ball with [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] and spent her most recent live period at the Atlantic City Showcase where she averaged 18 points, nine rebounds and three steals per contest.

Woodham is returning for a Darlington team that put together a solid 19-7 record throughout its 2025-26 campaign. When the 2026-27 season tips off, the Falcons will move back down to 3A after a couple of seasons as a 4A combatant. Woodham spent her most recent live period in New Orleans at Nike Session 2 with Overlooked Skills Academy 16U EYCL. She played in 19 of Darlington's contests last season while averaging 9.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest. Woodham was one of two from the class of 2028 on last season's Falcons team which is bringing in a new head coach in Christopher Hooks – a Darlington alum.

Marsaa's profile across South Carolina has only grown since her first season playing at the high school varsity level which was as an eighth grader. She would compete in 24 games in 2025-26 for 5A Division 1 Summerville while putting up career numbers in her sophomore campaign with the Green Wave. Marsaa averaged 10.9 points, 3.8 steals and 2.8 rebounds per game last season. During the May live period, Marsaa participated at the Live at LakePoint event in Georgia. She was one of two sophomores on last season's Green Wave team. With longtime coach Calvin Davis stepping down from his head coaching position at Summerville, there is much intrigue as to who will be calling the plays at the Fire House.

Speaking of green jerseys, Sapp is used to sporting green from her previous tenure at 4A Aiken. After spending her 2025-26 season helping North Augusta to its seventh state championship in 10 tries, Sapp will be bringing her talents back to the Green Hornets as she transitions to junior status. Sapp notably helped the Yellow Jackets in this past season's state game with 15 points in a 63-50 victory over Westside. She already had talent, but now she has a championship resume that should provide a boost for Aiken. Her most recent season as a Green Hornet was as a freshman and she averaged 11.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.5 steals, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks in 2024-25.

Floyd had one of the signature games of her career last season during the 5A Division 1 playoffs when she – by herself – had the same amount of points as the entire West Ashley team. That number of points was 37 and the final score was 65-37 which advanced the Panthers to the Lower State semifinals. Floyd was one of four from the class of 2028 on last season's Carolina Forest team. Her play helped the Panthers to a stellar record of 16-7. She would play in all 23 games for Carolina Forest while averaging 12.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.6 steals per contest.

Throughout the dynasty run established by coach Nathaniel Taylor at 1A Military Magnet, one of its signature attributes is a “next woman up” mentality. Wilson will be one of those for the Eagles. On a team with talent at all classes, Wilson was the lone 2028 on this past season's Military Magnet team – one that once again prevailed in the 1A state championship game. She is another that has played at the varsity level since she was in middle school and would play in 29 of the Eagles' 30 contests last season. Wilson averaged 5.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.3 assists per game in 2025-26.

The 4A field throughout South Carolina has to be overjoyed that coach Cosandar Griffin's Daniel assembling will once again be the 3A realm's problem to handle. With three seniors having been graduated from last season's Lions team, Epting will be even more of a focal point than she already was. Epting has played at the high school varsity level since she was a middle school and competed in all 27 of Daniel's contests last season. She averaged 12.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and two steals per game. Daniel has already landed a few transfers, ensuring the 2026-27 version of the Lions will once again be a very tough out.

[program_tooltip program_id='715412' first='SC' last='Eagles'] 17U was one of the many teams that were on hand at this past weekend's Southeast Region Finals, bringing a close to the initial leg of this year's Prep Girls Hoops Circuit. Last season's 5A Division 2 Riverside team graduated three seniors – including its leading scorer. The Warriors are set to move back down to the 4A ranks and Lombana is set to ensure that transition will be a smooth one. She would play in all 25 games last season for Riverside while averaging 8.2 points per contest. Lombana was the only 2028 on last season's Warriors team.

Cannon's first two seasons sporting the purple of 3A Walhalla have both resulted in state championships. She would play in 26 of the Razorbacks' 28 games last season while averaging 11.7 points, five rebounds, 2.7 steals and 2.7 assists per game in 2025-26. Cannon had herself a stellar performance in last season's 3A state championship game against Keenan. She helped her team with 19 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal. She was one of three from the class of 2028 on last season's Walhalla team which graduated a total of four seniors – including all three of its team co-captains.

The opening week of June not only represents a pause in the travel schedule as attention shifts from the AAU scene to high school team camp month. It also represents a time when prospects from the 2028 class can be directly contacted by college coaches.
