These are some talented girls who are going to take their game to the next level in 2026-2027.

FULL 2029 RANKINGS - CLICK ME!

Reiner is already a very good basketball player. She was selected to the All-WDA team last season and should be a lock for the next three. She is a future All-State selection as well. She nearly averaged a double-double last season and should eclipse that feat going forward. She is one of the most physically strong athletes in the state and incredibly difficult to stop near the basket. She is an excellent rebounder and thrives at getting fouled and earning free-throw attempts. Alli picked up her first Division 1 offer this summer from West Florida . Something tells me she is just getting started.

Jada is a fascinating prospect. She is another 2029 who was an All-Conference player last season. She has the physical capabilities of playing at the next level. She is listed at 5'9 and has longer arms and good jumping and timing. She is quite good at blocking and altering shots at the rim. Her athletic ability make it so that she can adequately defend the basket against bigger girls. Johnson is just scratching the surface as an offensive threat. She averaged double-figures last season and should increase that in 26-27. I expect her to become more efficient as well.

I really like Klabo's game. She is currently a fantastic role player on a team that will be favored to win the EDC. Horace is loaded at the guard position. In order for them to reach their potential, they need younger players to step in and accept their role of defending, taking care of the ball, and knocking down open shots. Maya is more than capable of accomplishing those tasks. She is a fantastic defender with good speed and quickness. She fits in perfectly with the Hawks' press-game and creates a ton of turnovers. She is a steady ball-handler with a smooth shot. I am looking for Maya to take a bigger step with her offensive production next season.

Santjer helped lead Rugby to the state tournament last season at the point guard position. This is quite an accomplishment to have a freshmen take the responsibility of playing point and having enough success to lead her team to the postseason. Avery balled out at the state tournament. She scored 55 points in the three games the Panthers played, showcasing to the entire state that she is is a talented young player. I expect her to take her game to even bigger heights next season. She is already a good ball-handler and decision maker. She has a quick release and can knock down the deep ball.

The Shanley Deacons will look a lot different in 2026-2027 with some graduation, roster adjustments, and a new head coach. Yablonski is in the perfect position for a breakout season next year. Annie has next-level athleticism. She is quick for her size and is physically strong. She is a fantastic athlete and tall, standing at 5'10. Having a tall guard who can see over smaller defenders is a luxury for a coach. Annie is also a serviceable offensive threat. She can use her strength to get to the basket but can also step out and hit the three. I am looking forward to seeing how good of a year Annie can have next season.

The Stevenson name in Dickinson is often associated with good basketball. Ali's brother Nathan is a standout on the boys' basketball team. Ali has been a varsity player for a couple of seasons now, having been moved up to the high school squad as an eighth grader. All of the experience from the past two seasons is going to pay off for her going forward. She is a bruiser around the basket and isn't afraid to be physical against bigger girls. She is able to use her strength to get to her spots and is quite good from the high-post area. Ali plays with a good attitude and willingness to work at her game.

Beach had an incredible District run in 2026, many considering it a "Cinderella" run. They were the 6th-seed and were able to win the District Title, securing themselves a spot in the Region tournament with hopes of making the state tournament. Mila scored a team-high 20 points in their upset victory at the District Championship game. She shone brightest when her team needed her the most. Beach has a handful of talented young players with some older veterans returning next season. I anticipate Mila having an outstanding season in 2026-2027 with the taste of postseason success last year.

These are some talented girls who are going to take their game to the next level in 2026-2027.
