Gust is a gritty and hard-nosed player. Her tremendous effort is on full display the second the clock starts. She shines on the defensive end. Her length and athleticism makes it really difficult for opponents to get past her and score. She alters shots and defends without fouling. I like her potential as a rebounder. I think she could become really effective at rebounding and leading the break herself. She has the tools on the offensive end to be really good as well. Addyson could be an All-EDC player and regional college recruit with continued effort in the gym.

Shanley will have one of the most talented rosters in the state this upcoming season. Gust was able to earn her way into a starting role as a freshman last season and will be eager to expand that role as a sophomore. She did a great job of playing against quality competition this summer and expanding her game. She has a mindset to soak up coaching and the frame and athleticism to be a great high school player. She is once again going to be a key contributor for a Shanley squad excited to get back to the state tournament in 25-26.

The Shanley Deacons have themselves a high-quality player in Addyson.  She started the entire 2024-2025 season as a freshman and gave great minutes each game.  She is a great sized athlete and moves very well.  I am really impressed with her effort level on the court.  She plays super hard and pushes herself to get better.  If she can continue to improve her shooting, look out.

Addyson Gust Addyson Gust 6'0" | SG Shanley | 2028 State ND played great in their 1^st game of the tournament.  She was so active defensively, which was really impressive.  She got many deflections and a handful of steals.  She ran the floor hard and played with tremendous effort.  She had a great play where she finished an And-1 opportunity at the rim.

Addyson was a starter this season for a talented Shanley squad. She has great size for a guard and plays the game the right way. She plays super hard and has a great attention to detail. She is very good defensively and can defend multiple positions. She has great footspeed and an athletic first step. She has a high ceiling as a prospect and will improve rapidly as she progresses through high school.

Addyson is having a great year for Shanley, earning a spot in the starting lineup. She is averaging 5.1 points per game and 2.3 rebounds per game. She is an excellent free throw shooter, shooting 82.4% from the line. She is very long and lengthy for a guard and is able to run up and down the floor with ease. Her length adds size and anticipation to Shanley’s defense. I like how she is a steady player, not trying to do too much. She is a great talent that will show more on the statistical side going forward.
