How Good is Bullis?
Coming into the weekend, one of the things I was interested in seeing was how the host school, Bullis, looked. They brought in a couple of huge transfers, and even after losing someone as good as Megan Yarnevich, I felt like this Bullis team could be better than the one last year. Bullis played 3 games and won all of them by 35+. Bullis has one of the best backcourts in the DMV, and although they may not have the depth as some of the other top teams, I don't think it will be a huge issue. Bullis did all this without one of the best players in the country in [player_tooltip player_id='785451' first='Ivanna' last='Wilson-Manyacka']. Bullis has a real argument for being the best team in the DMV, and I am excited to see them match up with Sidwell, who should be as good as anyone in the ISL, even with a new coach.

Ireton Power House of the future
Bishop Ireton is going through somewhat of a rebuild in a sense after losing all the talent they lost. They lost their 3 leading scorers, and all of them were top 100 players in the country. With that being said, I love what Ireton's doing, and they have an abundance of young talent. I've highlighted a few of their players in my DMV Live standouts not in high school yet. [player_tooltip player_id='443362' first='Londyn' last='Ferguson'] and [player_tooltip player_id='897837' first='Geornae' last='Davis'] are the two players returning who had big roles last year, and they are both 2027s that will be big parts for the next few years. They have a lot of versatile and skilled underclassmen, and assuming this team stays intact, they will be one of the best teams in the DMV very soon.

The 2027 Class in the DMV is special.
The 2027 class in the DMV is filled with elite national talent, and it was really fun to watch. There are a handful of players at this event that are ranked in the top 60 nationally. [player_tooltip player_id='787978' first='Qandace' last='Samuels'] and [player_tooltip player_id='633711' first='Sabrina' last='Anderson'] were both two of the most impressive players at DMV Live, and players like [player_tooltip player_id='787974' first='Nevaeh' last='Roberson'] were highly impactful as well. [player_tooltip player_id='785451' first='Ivanna' last='Wilson-Manyacka'] didn't play, but she is the second-ranked player nationally in 2027 as well. If you want to include Richmond, [player_tooltip player_id='443366' first='Justice' last='Brown-Jones'], who was great for Catholic all weekend. There is an abundance of players in VA Beach and NOVA who weren't at this event that are ranked in the top 60 as well. This class is so talented and should be fun to watch for the next few years.
