committed to D2 – Western Colorado last week. Blackmore is a SG with better than average size, that is going to be a vital piece to her Ankney Centennial High School’s Varsity success this upcoming Winter during her Season season.

are going to bring a lot of attention to themselves per usual so as long as Blackmore can step up and capitalize on her opportunities, they are going to be a group that has a lot of offensive weapons with some stout defenders. As for the next level, Blackmore is going to have to find time on the floor by knocking down catch-and-shoot jumpers, as well as playing stingy defense. If she can do that, she is going to be hard to pull off the court once she is in their regular rotation down the line.

is one of Iowa’s most underrated prospects when you break it down. Blackmore is a Guard with a nasty dribble, solid shooting ability, smart head-on her shoulders, and that was a full display this past weekend in Coralville. If you sit down to watch Blackmore throughout the high school season, you know what Blackmore brings to the table. She is an accurate offensive weapon and she can stick with anyone at the Guard position defensively. This Pure Prep 17U group is a sound one. They have a play maker at Point, knock down shooters and scorers from the Wing spot, and two or three big Posts that can eat up space in a hurry. As long as everyone plays for one another and they trust to make that extra pass every time, they are going to put together a really impressive next few months on the road.

is getting some love from the college level right now. Blackmore is an offensive juggernaut. An athlete who can score in a plethora of ways and in a hurry. This was on full display this AAU season for her Pure Prep 16U E40 team. When their teams 1-2 duo of

created for their shooters, they were ready, Blackmore being included in that group. Other than that, Blackmore also did a great job of being an even level scorer. Which means that she scored not only from three point land or at the rim, but all three levels on the floor at a consistent rate. Over these next few months I expect Blackmore to bring in some more offers before the high school season kicks off. She is the type of player, that if she works on the correct things in her offseason, she could be a major contributor once again this winter.

The question about

is not if she is skilled at the sport of basketball but HOW good can she really become? What is her ceiling? Well as of late, she has been killing it. A player that has always had her name floating around the 2025 class has been putting on a show from all over the court on offense, while being a stifling on-ball defender, when it comes to that side of the game. Something else that is impressive about her overall play-style is her knowledge of what is going on around her. She always understands the situation and the best route of attack from there. When you get into the Top 20-30 players in the 2025 class in Iowa, we are talking about several division 1 athletes. I’ll be interested to see if she can keep her momentum going into this fall and make another jump on this list moving into the high school season. Something do-able but we will just have to wait and see.
