With all of the attention on McGregor, took full advantage of playing on the big stage by knocking down multiple threes in a very tight game for the Mystics versus YKS. Jozelynn moved very well off the ball, especially in coordination with McGregor, staying out of the ball handlers space and reading and reacting to how her defender went to help on McGregor. Bewick’s ability to stretch the defense with excellent perimeter shooting kept her defender honest, making it difficult to give little to any help on McGregor. Begick showed good vision as well making several good passes and she did not turn the ball over. Begick herself did a nice job on the ball defensively in man to man and when she was in help side defense she showed help to guards driving the ball but was able to get back out to the perimeter and close down shooters. Begick is committed to play for Ferris State at the next level this past September.

Jozelynn was on fire from three-point range for Mystics P24 17U from the start and continued to shine throughout day one of the PGH MI College Tour. Jozelynn found her hot spot in the corners and ripped the net with at least five triples in game one. She finished well with both hands, stayed active on the defensive end, and changed directions with quick crossovers to penetrate off the dribble.

Jozelynn turned in a performance at the Hemlock Holiday Classic that nobody will forget. Jozelynn ended the first quarter with a Steph Curry-distance moonshot that got me on my feet. She consistently drained three-pointers from the volleyball line all game. Jozelynn created space and fired threes with deadly accuracy off the dribble. She only needed a foot. Jozelynn handled the ball confidently as the primary point guard, demonstrated excellent vision, and fired passes in transition to open teammates. She delivered a bounce pass through a small window to break the press and used a low double-crossover dribble to drive by for a layup. Jozelynn converted free throws, penetrated the defense with her dribble, and was disruptive on the defensive end. Jozelynn ended the game with 40 points (8 3PT), nine rebounds, and two assists. She picked the perfect day to set a new career mark, and I’m happy I was there to see it.

Begick played a major role in the offense on Friday, knocking down timely threes that shifted momentum and opened up the middle of the floor. With defenses stretched, she showcased her soft touch around the rim and leveraged her height to finish efficiently. On the defensive end, she used her length to alter shots and make scoring difficult for opponents. Expect her to have a strong season ahead.

Jozelynn committed to Ferris State after picking up offers from multiple D2 programs over the past few months. Her length, athleticism, and sniping ability from three-point range made her a guard-wing prospect with a high ceiling from the beginning of her high school career. Jozelynn has continued to fill out her frame and fine-tune her game. She’s a prospect who performs at her best in the spotlight, with many top performer moments at showcases in front of our scouts and college coaches. The turning point where Jozelynn cemented herself as an undeniable D2 prospect was at GVSU Elite Camp. In a gym full of talent, Jozelynn separated herself as a defensive stopper, explosive downhill driver, aggressive rebounder, and efficient three-point shooter. She’s a great pickup for the Bulldogs.

Jozelynn was aggressive and in all-out attack mode on the court at GVSU Elite Camp–she separated herself today. Jozelynn drained a corner three, finished a bunny off two, and scored an offensive rebound put back. One of her most explosive plays was a crossover, hesitation drive by where she changed hands at the rim to finish with a stretch layup at the rim. Jozelynn used her length to cause missed shots on defense and pushed the ball quickly in transition. She picked up offers from Wayne State and Northern Michigan recently–it’s clear to see why.
