Colbie demonstrated the ability to impact games at the Freshman Showcase as a shooter, facilitator, and defender. At Michigan Athletic Club open gym earlier this week, it became crystal clear that Colbie has the talent to be an All-League player in year one at Oakland Christian. She has excellent balance, catches passes ready to shoot with her feet set, and fires accurate shots from beyond the arc with a lightning-quick release. Colbie stays loaded in her stance and generates power from her legs, which gives her deep range. She’s bouncy, has a burst off the dribble, and her ball-handling control will keep defenders on their heels. Colbie will be an exciting playmaker to watch in the MIAC-Blue this winter and should draw attention from the opponent’s top defenders.

Colbie is a quick guard who competed hard on both ends of the court for Team 5 at the PGH Michigan Freshman Showcase. She showed an extra gear during a middle drive for a layup and stretched the floor by sinking a smooth corner three. Coblie energized the team by forcing a turnover with her full-court pressure, and did well in her role as a facilitator. Colbie penetrated the paint with her dribble and kicked the ball out to open teammates for multiple assists. She’ll be a great addition to the Oakland Christian program this winter.
