Expert Analysis
Danyle Bowers | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Reagan is a forward I’d love to see at the Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase. While I haven’t had the chance to evaluate her myself yet, Evan saw her at the CMU Elite Camp and came away impressed with the way she impacted the game on both ends of the floor. Reagan brings a unique combination of length, athleticism, and versatility that allows her to make plays defensively while also contributing offensively in a variety of ways. She has the ability to protect the rim, create extra possessions on the glass, and use her skill set to score as a face-up threat or around the basket. Her mobility and basketball instincts make her an intriguing prospect in the 2030 class, and the Freshman Showcase would be a great opportunity to see how she matches up against a talented group of forwards.

Reagan let her defense shine at CMU Team Camp. She moves very well with a long/athletic frame and anticipates drives. Reagan used her volleyball instincts, timing up multiple shot attempts for blocks, while also picking off passes in the passing lanes. She maintains good defensive positioning on drives to disrupt shots without fouling, and her mobility creates difficulty for traditional bigs trying to keep her from getting offensive rebounds. Reagan has good vision as a passer, can sink mid-range jumpers, finish with touch around the basket, and attack as a face-up driver to score or get to the free throw line. She’s an incoming freshman ready to make an immediate impact.

Reagan has length and a high motor that makes her a very challenging matchup on both ends. She left the floor to snatch rebounds at their highest point and was a constant force on the offensive glass. She battled for inside position to secure the board, pivoted, then scored the and-one layup with a soft touch off the glass. Reagan knocked down the free throw to complete the three-point play. She blocked shots in the paint and sprinted the floor for a catch and finish layup with her left. Reagan battled to secure defensive rebounds and caught a pass with soft hands inside for a two-foot finish. She was a difference maker for Mystics 14U South at the MBA Mother’s Day Classic.
