Laila showed good ball handling for her size. She is going through the learning curve that most freshmen have entering high school but she has the talent in her to bring it all together. DMV Live was good for the Mustang freshmen as they were able to get a 15 minutes of live play a game on the varsity level with the WCAC champions. Experience doesn’t show up on the stat line, but it pay off going forward.

Laila’s game continues to grow stronger each year as she develops into a true multi-level scorer. A dedicated student of the game, she consistently spends time in the gym refining her craft and sharpening the details that separate good players from great ones.

At PG County’s All-Star event, Laila showcased her shooting ability by winning the Three-Point Contest, highlighting her accuracy from beyond the arc when her feet are set and she’s in rhythm. During the main event, she displayed another dimension of her game—her ability to get downhill and attack the basket against equally talented competition.

Laila is set to take her talents to the nationally recognized program at Bishop McNamara, where opportunities are earned through hard work and performance. While the competition will be strong, she appears prepared for the challenge and ready to continue developing at the next level.
