Her shooting ability is her calling card. Detweiler possesses a quick release, excellent range, and confidence whenever she steps into an open shot. Defenses must account for her at all times, which creates opportunities for both herself and her teammates. What has been encouraging is the growth in other areas of her game. She has become more effective attacking closeouts, making plays off the dribble, and creating offense beyond the three-point line.

Detweiler also competes defensively and brings a strong work ethic that coaches appreciate. Her ability to stretch defenses makes her a valuable player in today’s game. June should provide an excellent opportunity for Detweiler to showcase her scoring abilities against top competition and continue building her recruiting profile.

Detweiler’s ability to stretch the floor immediately stands out. She shoots the ball with confidence from the perimeter and understands how to move without the basketball to create scoring opportunities.

What makes her game even more valuable is her basketball IQ and willingness to play within the flow of the offense. She makes smart reads, moves the ball well, and consistently makes winning plays. Defensively, she competes and positions herself well, helping her team in multiple areas beyond scoring. As she continues to add strength and expand her offensive game, Detweiler has the tools to continue climbing in the rankings after a strong spring showing.

I was able to see Grace over the Summer, and she is a very intriguing prospect who could be primed for a big year in terms of her recruitment. She has nice length, a wiry-strong frame, and she’s a good athlete in most directions. She is an effective shooter, she can handle it a little as well, and she plays with a motor & toughness. I really think she could have a breakout year for South Knox as well, considering some 2025 graduation losses.
