will be coming over the border to Iowa following this season to continue her basketball career with Simpson College. Hansen is a long Combo Forward in my opinion. She has lengthy arms and big strides but moves quickly and efficiently. She isn’t someone that has to sit in the middle of the lane and take up space, she has the ability to step out and around the perimeter at any given moment. In this contest, Hansen finished with 6 points but helped out in a plethora of other ways. She was diving on floor for loose balls, communicating through screens with all of her teammates, and making a constant effort on both offense and defense. As a coach, you can’t ask for much more of an effort. In the end, West got the win and Hansen was a productive contributor. Simple as that.

. Hansen is a Small Forward that handles her business every time she walks on the court. She moves really well for her size and has demonstrated over the past 3 years that she is one of the more consistent producers throughout the state. To kick off this year, Hansen is taking advantage of every opportunity given and making the most of it. She is flying around the court, getting stops of the defensive end, all while being a producer offensively as well in the form of scoring, and rebounding. Millard West is going to continue their awesome season moving forward. From everything I have seen, this is a team that is going to make their case for a State Title run over the next few months. They just need to stay locked in.

of Millard West high school committed to Simpson College in Iowa to continue her basketball career at the college level. Hansen is a hard-working and multi-demential player on the court. She can move between a handful of spots while having a specific ability at each position to help her thrive against her competition. I’m expecting a big year out of Millard West when it comes to this high school season If Hansen stays hungry and keeps up her hard work, this team will thrive once again this winter.

comes into her senior high school season with a chip on her shoulder. Hansen, a 6’0 small forward, has a lot of skill on the basketball court but her most impressive attribute that I’ve seen leading up to now, is her touch on the ball. Multiple times during games Hansen shows that she can catch at the three point line and let it fly, or put it on the ground and get to a mid-range area she likes, looking to finish with her patented floater/runner. When you account for Hansen’s size, skill, and touch on the ball, it’s not crazy to think she could produce at a college level somewhere out there. She works hard and is dedicated to the game. If she keeps up this hard work, it’s sure to prevail this high school season.

has a consistent and efficient game. Within 10 FT of the hoop she is deadly with her ability to float the ball up and in, as a swish or off the glass, depending on her angle. Hansen would be my definition of a small forward with how she navigates near the hoop. She understands where her opponents are going to be and uses her skill to maneuver around from there. When she catches outside on the perimeter she can put the ball on the floor and drive all the way to the hoop, usually ending in a successful finish at the rim in some fashion. Keep an eye on Hansen, she does a lot of good things on court on both ends. Her dedication to the craft really stands out.

Players in todays game who can only do one thing well on the floor get passed by rather quickly, that’s why you need to diversify your game as much as you can while you are growing up. A person who did a great job of this is

. Hansen is a 6’1 combo forward in my book. She can catch at the three point line and drive to the hoop, usually ending in her signature floater over the other teams center. She has an act for rebounding the ball on both sides of the floor, giving herself and her teammates more opportunities, multiple times a game. When we talk about the defensive side of things it’s good to mention her size and how quick she is moving her feet. She can stay in front of a guard or she can plant and battle down in the post if her team needs her to. Hansen is a hustle player. She gets a lot of her success because she is working harder then the player lined up across from her. A lesson a lot of young players in this game should take notes on.
