The 2025 players went through their freshman season in high school and going their first club season where evaluations really start to matter. Many have seen that the adjustment from middle school the the high school level is a bit challenging but some have made the transition without a glitch. Here are some players that have adjusted well and rose in the rankings.
Zhen Craft Zhen Craft 6'2" | SF Bishop McNamara | 2025 State MD l 6-2 l Wing l Bishop McNamara l #3 to #1
The top spot will continually get challenged in this class as there are around ten players that either can make a case now or potentially can make a case for that spot in the near future. Zhen rose two spots to number one largely due to her play on the 17U EYBL level. She is playing with a lot of confidence and her shot has improved. Physically she checks all of the desired boxes and her speed and ability to attack from the wing is well above average for her grade level. She has limitless potential and it will be interesting as we watch her to continue to develop.
Theresa Hagans Theresa Hagans 5'9" | PG Bishop Ireton | 2025 State VA l 5-7 l Combo Guard l Bishop McNamara l #46 to #9
Theresa made a huge jump in the rankings rising 37 spots to enter into the top ten. Hagans playing in her age group can easily play up but is doing well dominating in her grade. She now is able to showcase her leadership abilty and full skillset and it has been impressive. Her transition game is a thing of beauty as she has great control on the move. She has a good looking shot and nice follow-through on the three. She has a good foundation in place a should be grabbing a lot of national attention as she continues her journey.
Jayme Poindexter Jayme Poindexter 5'6" | CG Archbishop Carroll | 2025 State MD l 5-6 l Combo Guard l Archbishop Carroll l #54 to #26
Jayme made a huge jump up 28 spots. Growing three inches certainly didn’t hurt her but showing off her skill level in June really helped. She has great vision and is unselfish on the floor. She can score multiple ways on the drive or with the jumper, she also gets to the line repeatedly because of her quick aggressive attacks. She is a really smart player that may fly under the radar initially but eventually the best will match up against the best especially in the WCAC, she will get noticed.
Sydney Sutton Sydney Sutton 5'8" | SG St. Frances Academy | 2025 State MD l 5-7 l Shooting Guard l St. Frances Academy l #30 to #13
Sydney plays with a lot of toughness and effort. Her “no fear” mentality on the court gives her an edge even against bigger players. She a good rebounder for a guard and is really effective on the offensive glass. On the defensive end she is solid and keeps her player in front of her. She has a strong frame and is good on both ends in the post against players her size.
"Kelis" "Fisher" l 5-7 l Point Guard l Roland Park l #22 to #18
Kelis rose four spots which is impressive with the new players added. Kelis is a solid point guard that is physical with the ball. She has a good mid-range game and finishes when she gets to the basket. She plays withing the team concept so you need to pay attention to notice the little thing that she does to affect the game. She stays in good position during the game and makes plays on the defensive end.
