4 Intriguing Teams In June

June is here and high school summer ball arrives with it. It’s an exciting time of year because we get a little glimpse of what the next winter might bring. I’m going to give you 4 teams that I find very intriguing and hope to see this month.

BELLEVILLE

Belleville not only has a lot of talent, but they have it at all ages and a variety of skill sets. Rylan Buschell Rylan Buschell 5'4" | CG Belleville | 2025 State MI is an elite lead guard in the 2025 class and looks ready for a huge season. Se’Crette Carter was one of the most impressive freshman guards in the state last year with her ability to make plays on the move. Well, now enter Sydney Savoury Sydney Savoury 5'11" | SG Belleville | 2027 MI , one of the most talented freshman guards in the country. This should be a great backcourt to watch mold together.

SALINE

The Hornets seem like they are on the verge of something really special. They have some real difference makers in the backcourt that led them to an excellent season in 2022-2023. Kate Stemmer Kate Stemmer 5'6" | SG Saline | 2024 State MI is one of the best pure shooters around, but is probably even more valuable as a 2 way guard. Keira Roehm Keira Roehm 5'7" | SG Saline | 2026 State MI was an elite freshman and big shot maker. Kadyn Maida Kadyn Maida 5'9" | SG Saline | 2025 State MI has upside for days and could be on the verge of a true breakout season.

MACOMB DAKOTA

I love Dakota’s mix of veteran talent and young stars, and it should be fun to watch them gel. Samone Andrews Samone Andrews 5'8" | PG Macomb Dakota | 2024 State MI is an elite shooter and scorer and will be the leader. Tambre Williams Tambre Williams PF Macomb Dakota | 2024 State MI is a top notch senior forward that will grab boards. Gabby Brooks-Foster Gabby Brooks-Foster 5'6" | PG Macomb Dakota | 2026 State MI is an elite guard that can create off the bounce. Other talented players like Brooklyn Garavaglia Brooklyn Garavaglia PG Macomb Dakota | 2026 State MI who’s having a very nice grassroots season make this squad an interesting watch in June.

PLYMOUTH SALEM

Salen had a tremendous season and playoff run. I think they can do it again and June could be the start of it all. First of all, superstar Madison Morson Madison Morson 5'8" | SG Plymouth Salem | 2024 State MI is back so that’s a big start. They lose their playmaking guard, Shahd Bakkar, but the talent is there and still improving. Abigail Resovksy is a gritty player that will make the hustle plays and hit big shots. Leilah Howard Leilah Howard 5'11" | PF Salem | 2025 State MI has a ton of upside and versatility.
