I haven’t gotten to talk about Elizabeth Seton much for the last few years but they have put together an impressive roster of players. Quite a few of them would be all-stars in most programs. Any of them can take over games but have been content with playing together as a team. This sacrifice is why I’m picking then as my pre-season WCAC favorite. Here are six Roadrunners that can take over the game at any moment.
Makayla has a smooth game and plays in rhythm. She is a supreme athlete that can shoot the ball well of the dribble. She has three range off the catch and attacks very well in the half court and transition.

Nadeya was one of the top players that I seen as a freshman and after a brief break she is back with a vengeance. She dominated the public school SMAC and now makes the jump to the WCAC while playing her summer ball with the EYBL. If you don’t get the acronyms it just means she’s jumped to the highest level of high school and club ball. She has great vision and feel for the game and just to confirm she is back she dropped a cool 24 (18 in second half) points with five 3-pointers while shooting over 60% from the field in the win over St. Andrew’s. Numbers don’t lie.
Layla is pure speed on both ends and has an incredible motor that doesn’t stop. Is a proven scorer on the public school level and is showing that her skill translate in the WCAC where she will play with and against tough competition every game.
Emma can work any perimeter position effectively. I really like her at the point but seeing her work from the wing and high post she is still very effective. She is always a threat to score and can dominate a game, seems as though she is equally content to distribute the ball and make her teammates better.

Alicia dropped 14 on Holy Child shooting 50% from the field. She has incredibly fast hands on defense and can turn a play into a transition layup for her team. She has a solid frame and nice bounce in her legs and athleticism.
Kaliyah created mismatches because of her speed and ability to attack the basket. She more naturally fit in the post area but stretching the floor forced either smaller or slower player to guard her. I can see her taking over the game in certain situations as she did scoring 11 points in 9 minutes against St. Mary’s Annapolis and dropping a three pointer.
