Ivanna may have been the best player at DMV Live which is a bold statement considering that she is only an eight grader. She plays with tremendous confidence and attacks well with elevation at the rim. She can shoot the three, handle the ball and play defense. She had 25 points and 12 boards agianst Riverdale Baptist. Bullis adding her along with transfer Meghan Yarnevich Meghan Yarnevich 6’2″ | C Bullis | 2025 State MD makes them a legit cotenders to dethrone Sidwell and Visitation for that ISL top spot.
For a lot of coaches on hand this was their first time laying eyes on Bailey. St. Mary’s Annapolis was overmatched against Seton but held their own in the other games. Bailey still averaged 19 points per game and was one of top scorers of the tournament while going 21 for 24 from the line. Bailey showed that she can go toe to toe with any of the top players in the region,
Caliyah only played in one game before twisting her ankle and missing the remainder of the tournament. In that one game however she was very impressive scoring 17 points on 8 for 10 shooting. She also added 5 assists and 5 steals to her stat line while missing most of the second half of the game. A lot of coaches may have missed seeing her but those on hand were treated to some high level point guard action.
Laura had an incredible streak leading Paul VI to four victories with a 20 point 12 rebound and 4 blocked shot average. She came in knowing that she would be leaned on as she took most of the Panthers shots and led them in basically every possible statistic. As defenses keyed on her she continued to show dominance using every of her 6’3″ frame.
Holy Child faced three WCAC teams and lost their three games. Jaeda, however, made the most of the moment by showing out in front of college coaches. She averaged an efficient 20 points per game and shot the ball well (over 40%) from beyond the arc. She defended multiple positions and was typically on the opponents best player.
