TN’s Region Semifinals Findings

beat Maryville 67-48 to reach the Regions finals versus Farragut.  Kendall Murphy had herself a night as she exploded for 25.  When Murphy is shooting/scoring at a high clip, it always brings Bearden to a different level.rnrnSo much of coaching is answering this question:  What do I KNOW about my team?rnrnBearden KNOWS [player_tooltip player_id='513233' first='Natalya' last='Hodge'] will get 20 (literally...she scored 20).rnrnAfter that....Bearden needs their secondary scorers to stay hot!  Coach Underwood and the opposition need to know, that Murphy, and [player_tooltip player_id='516540' first='Aisha' last='Patel'] (finished with 8), and [player_tooltip player_id='290944' first='Rachel' last='Wilhoit'] (finished with 7) will make you pay if you leave them open to stop Hodge.rnrnThats 25+8+7 = 40 points without Hodge's points.  Bearden is really dangerous when they get production like first='Annie' last='Priest'] (11 points, 5 assists, 9 rebounds), Farragut beat Oak Ridge 48-36.  KJ McNeally had 16 and 8 rebounds.  [player_tooltip player_id='810591' first='Jaci' last='Neubert'] had 12.  [player_tooltip player_id='851812' first='Mya' last='Johnston'] and [player_tooltip player_id='785000' first='Reagan' last='Sheridan'] gave great defensive effort.  Well rounded team Central was in a close battle through the 1st half versus Kingston, but eventually ran away with it 94-56.rnrnKarina Bystry ended the night with 40 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists in the Region semis.  In the district tourney she had a 42 point, 10 rebound, and 5 assists game.  Combined she's hit 14 3s in those games.rnrnCan you beat McMinn Central if Bystry is scoring like that?rnrnBecause we haven't even mentioned [player_tooltip player_id='245358' first='Molly' last='Masingale'], who had 22 points, 11 assists, and 9 rebounds in a near triple-double that I haven't seen anyone even mention on Twitter.  Lol....look at the stat line we aren't talking about because Bystry scored 40 again.rnrnSr [player_tooltip player_id='245379' first='Maddox' last='Mayfield'] also just missed a double double with 16 points and 9 and 3 blocks in a Bill Russel-esque stat line.  And fittingly, on a night in which she pulled 17 boards, she also pulled the 1,000th rebound of her career.  She's an old-school rim protecting rebounder thats a joy to watch.rnrnHalle Bailey had 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists as she continues to impress of late running the show.rnrnGwen Carroll had 10 points in 12 minutes of
